Hi. I'm Boshun. I'm the avatar. I learned this a few years ago when I was 16. I'm 18 now, and I still feel like I have a lot to learn. But I have to mostly learn it on my own. I mean sure I have Korra and some mentors to teach me, but thanks to Korra she's the only avatar I can speak with. I'm not mad with her. But a little sad that I can't receive more advice. My mother Min Lee, and my father, Mo, love me very much and got me some of the best mentors. And these weren't any mentors. Infact, 5 of them knew Korra herself. There was Bo-Lin who tought me earthbending and lavabending. Mako helped me firebend and lightningbend. Jinora tought me how to connect with spirits better, and airbend, though I had trouble with airbending, and still do sometimes. I think it's because it's the opposite of my element but who knows. Then Wei and Wing tought me metalbending. Apparently I'm one of the most talented avatars ever since I can lavabend, metalbend, lightningbend, and I'm also taking a class to learn how to fly. Apparently airbenders can do this. It was first discovered by a man named Guru Laghima, and another man achieved this not to long ago. His name was Zaheer. Avatar Korra fought him and won. So the airbenders decided to start a class to teach the nomads, and the avatar how to fly. I'm ok at it but I can't really become light as a feather. It's not as easy as it sounds. I was training one day when a rogue waterbender was running away from a women. But then I realized that he was a robber, and I couldn't let him get away. The only problem was he was a powerful waterbender, and I wasn't the strongest avatar, yet. So I had trouble fighting him. I threw some air gusts but he jumped over me and used blunt force on my back with ice. It hurt but I didn't feel like giving up anytime soon. I launched him in the air with earthbending but he just used it to get high ground and got me on the ground. Then he put me in a ball of water and froze it so I couldn't do anything. Then he went up to my villages nearest mountain and launched me off. I immediately use my fire breath to break the ice. But the only problem was that I was plummeting to my death, there was no water nearby, and I didn't know how to use air or fire bending to fly. So I just stuck to my training and tried to focus. I felt the pressure of the air pushing me down dissapear. I was floating! I guess being under a lot of stress helps benders learn new abilities they can do. Especially when they need to do it to save themselves or others. I flew back up and then went into the avatar state. I took his water from him and froze him. Then I smashed the ice on the mountain and then airbended him down the mountain. This left him feeble and weak. I captured him and turned him into Chief Mako. He was proud of me. He was my favorite mentor. So this really ment a lot. When I returned to my village all the people cheered my name and the women who the waterbender was stealing from wanted a picture, so I took one with her and she was happy. My parents were proud of me, and so was Jinora because I just learned how to fly after 4 months of training.
