Chapter 1
Katie's POV
I let out a content sigh. I knew Chris was gonna love his new present. Today, I decided to go out and buy my fiancé a gift because we were to be married in less than a week. I'm honestly so happy and excited. I love Chris so much and to think that our lives together is just starting is crazy. I mean, I don't feel that stupid spark that everyone lies about but he's so yummy and he treats me good.
I bought him a White Frisker. I was going to just hand him the keys and have him walk outside.
I had a playful smile on my lips as I quietly unlocked the door and made sure to slowly walk so my heels wouldn't make much noise.
Chris worked at a law firm so today was his day off as it was Sunday. I didn't have a job since Chris said I didn't need to lift a beautiful finger. His words not mine.
We both lived together in an apartment building near New York city.
I frowned when I didn't see him in the kitchen or in the living room.
I chuckled, of course he would be sleeping on his day off. How dumb of me.
I walked toward our room but came to a halt when I heard voices, more like moans and groans.
No, he's not.
I walked the little way to our bedroom door and pushed it open a little.
Somehow I paused my gasp before it came out and completely halted my breath.
The sight in front of me was something I never pictured or thought of happening. My fiancé and best friend were having sex on my bed.
I couldn't figure out what to say but I started off with what I knew best.
Sarcasm.
"You love me? Really, because I can swear your d*ck is inside my sl*t of a friend right now."
I cross my arms and they both pull apart, scrambling around the room for their clothes.
I purse my lips in disgust when I see her panties near my feet. That b*tch.
I quickly take a step into the room. I was going to keep my class even if they didn't have any.
"Katie-Bear, please, baby, let me explain." He was now only wearing shorts but I felt so disgusted I didn't even want to look at him.
My sl*t of a friend sat on the edge of the bed.
I guess I'm the type of person who doesn't run away from their problems but solves them immediately.
I grabbed the suitcase that was in my closet and reply to his plead,"You have a good five minutes before I leave."
He looked at a loss for words and I let out a sarcastic chuckle.
Grabbing all of my clothes from the hangers I stuff them inside, I didn't feel like folding and I wanted to shorten his time.
"Okay, uh, look, Farah came here to help me with some work. And then I accidentally spilled coffee on her so she had to change... And then, uhm, I came in here to give her some of your clothes and you kind of caught us in a bad moment of weakness."
I scoff and grab my entire shoe collection putting it into a different suitcase.
"You call putting your d*ck inside of another woman that isn't me, a moment of weakness? You're pathetic Chris. And you want to know something else? Farah doesn't have a job because all Farah is, is a dumb sl*t. So I don't believe anything you just said and just like you can do this to me. I'm doing this to you. I'm leaving you and you're not going to stop me."
With that I zipped up everything I needed.
And for my purposes I kept his credit card he lent me.
I flashed them a wide grin before walking out the door.
Walking out of the building to my car, I stashed the cases in the trunk and brought my purse in front with me.
I hummed a song that would best fit the situation because that's how girly I am.
"And don't tell me you're sorry cause you're not... Baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught..."
I chuckle as I start my car and drive off. I don't even know where to go.
But as long as I have his credit card. I'm going to the most expensive hotel there is.
