Chapter 23: Bad news

Lana POV

"Hey, Lana wake up."

Naruto said shaking me awake, I opened my eyes and groaned "What do you want? Can't you see I'm sleeping." I said in a sleepy voice, Naruto sweat dropped "Yeah but the sick guy is calling all the winners to meet him down in the arena." Naruto explained I sighed and nodded. As we both went down there I stood next to Naruto and Temari.

"I commend all of those who passed the preliminary rounds to go up to the third phase of the Chunin exams, well there's one person missing but still congratulations."

Then gramps started to explain the third phase and we have a month to prepare for the battles, after he explained I glanced at Naruto, hmm should I help Naruto or Sasuke? I know that perv is gonna be in town and he might help Naruto, but then Sasuke has Kakashi and he's bound to learn Chidori.

"Before we move on, I will need you to grab a peace of paper from this box."

then all of us grabbed a peace of paper I leaned over and glanced at Naruto "What number did you get?" I asked Naruto showed me his paper, it showed the number 1 then I grabbed my peace of paper and showed him mine "I got number 7." Naruto nodded.

Then we had to tell them what number we got "Ibiki you can show them who's been pared up." Then Ibiki flipped the paper and showed us who were going against, I glanced at Shina and Kankuro and smirked 'Ne? Shino may be able to eat chakra but how will you eat magic.' I laughed slightly. Then Gramps started to explain that everyone could pass or everyone can fail, but it's up to the judges.

I looked around a little bit and noticed we were odd "Umm excuse me but why are we odd? Shouldn't we be even?" I asked, then gramps looked at me "Well, Lana after your match we decided that the loser of your match would go against the person in the last round, but in the end the last match was a draw." Gramps explained, I nodded.

"With that you may leave."

I sighed, and walked out of the building "Ne? Maybe I'll go visit Sasuke." I muttered to myself, and started walking to the hospital.

Time skip

"Sorry we can't let you in."

"Huh? Why not?!"

I walked in the hospital to see Naruto yelling at the people in the front desk, and walked over to him "Hey Naruto watcha doing here?"

"I'm here to see Sasuke to ask Kakashi Sensei something but the lady said no one can visit Sasuke!"

I looked over at the lady "Umm ma'am may I please see him it's very important that I see him." I said sounding desperate, the lady shook her head "Sorry but we have strict orders not to let anyone visit Mr. Sasuke." The lady said.

"Aww come on lady!"

Me and Naruto yelled, the Kakashi walked out of the hallway "Naruto Lana be quiet it's a hospital." Kakashi said, we both turned our heads to Kakashi "Kakashi how's Sasuke?" "There you are Kakashi Sensei! I've been looking for you believe it!" Naruto said while yelling.

"Naruto I already know what you're gonna ask and the answer is no, I don't have time to deal with you."

"Huh?!?!?!? What do you mean!?!?! I bet you're gonna train Sasuke!!!!!!"

Naruto said yelling I rolled my eyes and hit his head "Shut up!" I yelled and Naruto started to rub his head "Ow that hurt, Lana!" Naruto complained "Don't worry Naruto I found an even better teacher than me." Kakashi said, Naruto's eyes sparked "Really!?!?!."

"Yes me."

Then Naruto turned around and his jaw dropped "Huh!?!?!?! This closet pervert will be my trainer!?!?" Naruto yelled pointing and Ebisu. Then Ebisu dragged Naruto out of the hospital.
