Anne quietly drank the rest of her coffee, looking at Marcy talking to other customers. She couldn't help but realize how pretty the girl was. Her eyes shined when she smiled, her silky looking black hair and how it flowed in the wind, it was magical.

Rylie walked back to the counter after helping a customer but their eyes got caught onto Anne.
[ Is she.. staring at Marcy? Pfft. I knew they were gay for eachother. ]

They smirked and waved to Anne, trying to get her attention. Anne was zoning out before she caught Rylie waving at her in the corner of her eye. She looked over with confusion.

Rylie only smirked more as they pointed to Marcy and Anne back and forth. They were silently shipping them together without words. The brunette quickly gave an not amused look after realizing what they were trying to signal.

Rylie laughed, finally walking back to the counter. Anne rolled her eyes as she checked the time, realizing she might be late if she didn't get on the road. She zoomed out the door to get to her car for work. Rylie chuckled as they just thought she was embarrassed they caught Anne crushing on Marcy so she was trying to leave as fast as possible.

Anne finally got to the Aquarium she worked at, running inside. She panted as she ran to the amphibian section. It felt like she was either dying or melting into a puddle, probably both. She looked up as her coworker tapped on her shoulder.

"You good? I hope so because these frogs won't give the tours themselves." Her breathing went back to normal as she looked into his eyes. It was her coworker, Aspen.

"I'm sorry that I had to run because all of the close parking spots were taken." She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms at him. "Then get here earlier? Then you won't have to run."

"Whatever. Anyways, speaking about tours, is there a group of people waiting for one or did you just make me even more stressed out for no reason?" Aspen chuckled before responding. "I just wanted to make you stressed out. You know I can't help but mess with you."

The girl rolled her eyes again before heading towards one of the frog tanks. "What? You know you love me." They laughed more at her, just rubbing it in.

Anne got more annoyed as he laughed and gave him a intimating look. It was hard for her to be serious but Aspen knew that look meant she wasn't taking any shit at the moment. They quickly shut up and looked away, sweating.

She sighed out of frustration and started to clean the enclosure to her favorite frog, Sprig. Aspen quietly walked over but still kept his distance. "Are you okay? Like.. excluding I made you mad just now, is there something else on your mind?"

She kept scrubbing while thinking about it. "Not really. I mean, I guess I'm a bit upset about something. I met this girl at a café and I really want to be friends with her but I'm scared to ask. Sometimes I feel like she is too cool to be friends with someone like me."

Aspen looked at her with a sad, concerned look. "What are you talking about? I know I jokingly bully you a lot but you're actually pretty cool. A real cool person would want to your friend no matter how lame you think you are."

Anne looked up for a moment and smiled at him. "Thanks, Aspen." She kept a sentimental smile before chuckling.

The boy's smile turned into a confused frown once he heard the girl's laughter. "What's so funny?" Her laughter stopped and her eyes darted back to theirs. "Nothing. Just thinking about how much of a dork you are."

Aspen usually got mad at those types of insults she made but couldn't help but chuckle back. "Oh come on, we were just having a nice moment. I hate you." They rolled their eyes while their mouth kept a slight smirk.
