*trigger warning: loneliness, depression, bullying, harm to animals
A little girl with short brown hair and eyes that could not be described, sits alone on a swing that is hung from a large willow tree. She tries her best to prevent the tears from spilling from her rare eyes. Her eyes were a whirlpool of color. You would never see just one color in them, it was almost frightening.
"Aww, poor girl, she's all alone."
"Don't worry about her, she was meant to be alone. She's a monster. I would stay away from her if I was you."
"She's hideous! No wonder no one wants her."
She could hear them say. The people that walked by. It never got old and she felt nothing.
The girl looks up and sees a family, a girl her age with her two parents, a mother and a father. They were walking together, laughing and telling stories.
"Look at her, she looks so lonely." the young girl said to her parents. "May I go play with her?"
"No honey, she's cursed, she's meant to be alone." The father said.
The young, lonely girl, Octavia, rises from her place, startling the family. She begins walking, never taking her eyes off of them. They looked at her with fearful eyes as they backed away with every step she made. It suddenly began to rain and she watched as the family opened an umbrella and began walking close together, off into the distance. Sadly for her, she did not have any cover from the pouring rain, and nowhere to go.
She continues to walk through the relentless rain until something catches her eye. A wolf was caught in a trap, most likely set by hunters. It was a fully grown male and seemed to be alone, like her. His paw was stuck and his snout and he seemed to be in pain but put up a strong front.
"Are you alright?" she asks him, but he doesn't respond and snarls at her.
She begins to slowly walk up to him but he continues his aggressive stance. He was indeed a beauty and not meant to be used for meat. His black fur looked soft and clean, something rare and his eyes were a bright green.
"It's alright. I'm not here to hurt you." she softly says. Her youthful voice was like butter, smooth and soft.
She kneels in front of him and he growls and barks. She is not frightened by him and puts her hand out for him for him to smell. The wolf retreated back in fear, but she stayed there. He then slowly creeps up to her and smells her hand and relaxes a bit. She smiles and takes his paw out from the trap and the one around his snout. Once he's freed, he jumps back and winces in pain.
"Don't worry, I'll help you." She sweetly says.
He then limps towards her and she takes hold of his injured paw. She closes her eyes and focuses on his paw. Her other hand began to glow a light blue and his wound was healed.
"There, all better." She smiles.
He looks at her then to his paw and licks it. He then looks back at her and stares at her intently ans she stares back, having a silent conversation. He then turns and walks away. She gives a small smile but it quickly turns into a frown when she realizes that she is alone again. She pulls her knees up to her chest and lays her head on them.
"Does anyone really need me? Will anyone really miss me if I die?" she whispers to herself as she closes her eyes.
Suddenly, she doesn't feel the rain pouring onto her small and frail body, but she could still hear it. She lifts her head and sees a young man standing in front of her, holding an umbrella over her. The man had unique purple eyes and long, unruly grey hair. As she looks at him in astonishment, he smiles at her.
"Hey there!" he says in a soft but loud tone .
This leaves her surprised as she looks up at her savior.
