"Okay, so we have, Miss Patty, Babette, Luke, Lane, You, Rory, Gypsy, Sookie Michele and EW My grandparents" Celia reads gagging at the mention of her grandparents.
"Damn, you really do like birthdays" Jess teases as Celia begins to make a list of the stuff she had begun to organize for her mom's party.
"Wow, what is this gonna be, a block party?" Jess asks, looking at the list,
"Cotton candy machine, cake, music, gifts, Sookie catering, and god what else" Jess reads off.
"Okay yes I may have gone little overboard but still she deserves it" Celia smiles.
"Oh and check it" Celia opens a bag showing Jess the gift she got her mom.
"It is a original signed pressing of 'Rid of me'" Celia smiles,
"Wow you really are crazy" Jess smiles.
"Hey Dall, it all looks great, Moory and I will be there" Babette waves walking into her house.
"Okay so everyone will get here at five and then our mom will get here latest five thirty, we should be all set I just need to check with Rory about the cake" Celia smiles and Jess chuckles smiling at her.
"Hey Rory you got the Mocha, choc espresso whatever cake right?" Celia asks as she begins setting up the decorations.
"Um about that... I'm sorry I haven't been able to pick it up" Rory says,
"Oh okay I can go now you ordered it though right?" Celia asks.
"Um well no, I totally forgot I'm sorry C, I just..." Rory trails off,
"Rory come on! I gotta go drive to Hartford now" Celia complains.
"Hey Jess, wanna come on a little trip to Hartford?" Celia asks calling Jess,
"Sure Luke's in a mood" Jess agrees.
"Hi, I'm sorry is there any way you can do a rush Mocha choc espresso cake?" Celia begs approaching the counter in the bakery.
"Look I'm sorry we close in 2 hours, there is nothing we can do" she apologises.
"Okay thank you" Celia grabs Jess by the arm leaving,
"Come on there's a market over here we need supplies" Celia drags Jess behind her.
"Um supplies for what?" He asks,
"To go make that Mocha choc fucking whatever cake" Celia fumes.
By the time they made it back to Stars Hollow Celia had a plan on how to make the cake.
"Ugh I can't do it" Celia complains her head in her hands.
"Come On you have worked so hard on this C" Jess tries,
"C?" Celia asks,
"Rory only ever calls me that" Celia comments.
"Oh sorry, I heard Rory call you that I guess it stuck" he apologizes,
"No it's fine I don't mind" Celia smiles.
"Come on we can do this" Celia lifts her head and Jess smiles.
After 2 hours Jess and Celia had a cake, Did it look beautiful, not at all but was it a cake, sure.
"Okay, Okay everyone get down she is gonna be here soon" Celia yells as everyone hides around their front yard.
"Surprise!" everyone yells as Lorelai pulls up to their house.
"Aww thank you!" she squeals hugging both her daughters,
"oh, Richard, Emily" Miss Patty calls,
"Sorry we're late sweetheart" Emily hugs Rory.
"Hi grandma, Hi grandpa" Celia smiles,
"Hi dear," they say brushing her off.
"Oh mum here" Celia smiles handing her mum the present she had picked out for her.
"Aww kid, thank you" She smiles hugging her,
"Hey grandma, you want a drink?" Celia asks finding her grandma sitting by the porch,
"No thank you, dear I can't believe Rory pulled all this off" Emily commented.
"Sorry, what?" Celia asks,
"I just can't believe your sister did all this. So Celia what did you get her?" Emily asks slightly patronising her.
"No grandma I threw the party" Celia tries to reason with her,
"Celia, my dear, you know I Love you but taking credit for Rory's gift if very low, no matter how close the two of you are" Emily tells her putting her hand on her shoulder.
"Sorry what? I'm not doing this right now" Celia stands and walks away.
"Rory, what the hell!" Celia goes over to her,
"YOu told grandma this was all you?" Celia asks,
"oh come on Celia don't be so dramatic it's fine" Rory rolls her eyes and walks away.
"Hey" Celia says sitting down next to Jess,
"What's with you?" he asks looking over at her,
"Now I see why my grandparents hate me," Celia says taking a sip of Jess's coke.
"Sure help yourself" Jess laughs as she takes his Coke,
"So wait what happened?" Jess asks as he grabs himself another Coke.
"Rory told my grandmother that she threw the party and then scolded me for not doing anything" Celia explains with a little laugh.
"Sorry C" He tries to make her feel better,
"I'm committing to the 'C' thing now," he tells her laughing.
"It's time for cake!" Rory calls as she grabs it from inside Dean following behind,
"What are the odds it tastes like shit?" Jess asks as they walk over.
"Well we've never made a cake before, so I say pretty high" Celia says, as Rory and Dean come out with the cake.
"Oh sweety what flavor is it?" Emily asks, and Rory freezes,
"Um, It's-" Rory starts,
"Chocolate Mocha espresso" Celia says standing next to her mother,
"Oh I see, and what bakery is it from?" Emily asks, Celia knew exactly what she was doing but bit her tongue not wanting to ruin the moment for her mother.
"Actually Jess and I made it" Celia smiles handing her mum a knife.
After all the cake-cutting and singing Lorelai made her way over to her youngest daughter.
"So how's grandma been tonight?" she asks,
"her usual self" Celia smiles tightly,
"Ahh, I see, sorry kid, well for what it's worth I love the party, I'd know your flare for the dramatic anywhere," Lorelai tells her and Celia leans over hugging her.
"Not bad for our first baking experience" Jess smiles holding up a piece of cake,
"Oh yeah?" Celia takes a bite,
"Huh not bad" she laughs.
