Better with you - Gojo x Geto

Chapter 1

-Geto POV-

Knock knock knock!
Ehhhh? As I slowly wake up, I feel rays of sun on my face from my window. I look over at my clock and see that it's only... 6? Who is knocking on my door at 6 in the morning??? I slowly get up while still wearing pajamas to go see who it is.

I open the door, and what a surprise. "Hi Suguru!" It's satoru. "You forgot we had a mission didn't you... I'm telling Yaga sensei about this!" "Huh...?" Do we have a mission... OH SHOOT. I forgot to set my alarm last night. "Don't tell him, you know I'm good about remembering stuff..."

I let him in my door and ask him to wait while I get ready. As I go to brush my teeth he just watches me. "What?" I say in a mumbled voice as I'm brushing my teeth. "Nothing, just looking at your nice face!" He says. "Oh shut uppp." He always says stuff like that, just in passing. I just presume he's someone who doesn't see much from giving compliments like that. I can never help but get a little flustered when he does that though.

I have known Satoru for a little less than a year, and I met him when we first came to jujutsu high school. It's me, him and Shoko in our group, and I have to be honest, it's pretty fun with him being around with his craziness and his confidence in himself. He is really strong and he knows it, but in my opinion he doesn't boast it too much.

While I'm eating some cereal for breakfast, he starts looking through my wardrobe. "Here, you should wear this today!" I look over to see what it is... it's a Halloween costume of a tree I have from 8 years ago. "Yeah totally. Can you grab my school uniform for me?" "Only if you let me have some of that cereal." Couldn't I have just gotten some for him when I was making it? "Ok sure, come here." He leant down and opened his mouth waiting for the spoon, and I fed him the cereal. "There you go, now can you get the uniform for me?" "Mhm!"

That was kind of a weird request.

He brought over the uniform and I go into the washroom to get changed. Then, we leave my house and head to where the mission is. "So is that the cursed spirit? It looks really weak, I can deal with it on my own if you want." Satoru offers. "Ok, but be careful and don't forget that I should absorb it after." "Mhm!" He goes over to it and kills it almost instantly, then comes the annoying part for me.

I slowly swallow the cursed energy and it's gross like always. Every time I absorb the energy, Satoru always can't help but to look away which is understandable as it's pretty weird experience. "You ok? Was this one bad?" "You know I have to absorb them, I get used to it." He also always seems concerned for me after. Even though I don't tell him, I appreciate that he worries even if he shouldn't. It feels nice to be cared about.

Now it's almost 8, and we don't have anything planned. "Soooo, do you wanna grab something to eat? There's a new breakfast place I really wanna go to!" "But haven't you already eaten?" He always wants to go to places after we finish our missions. "Yeah I've eaten but I'd rather go with you than by myself later!" Eh... for some reason that makes my face turn a tiny bit red. "Ok fine, let's go."

As we head over to the restaurant, he starts talking about some show he was watching about a class that has to kill their teacher by the end of the year. While he's talking, I watch him and realize how he seems to be having fun just by going to a cafe. It's a little bit cute, but that's a really embarrassing thing to think. Wait... I think... he's cute?? No I don't, that's stupid.

We get seated at the cafe at an outdoor table and the area is actually very pretty, there are trees and flowers planted around each table. "Suguru isn't this so nice! Aren't you happy you agreed to come?" "Yes, I'm happy I'm with you." I don't normally admit stuff like that... "So Satoru, what do you think you're gonna ord..." I look up to see him looking down with red cheeks. "You ok?" "Huh...? OH YEAH I'm fine! Uhhh I think I'll get the ummmm... waffles with mochi on the side!" "Waffles and mochi... that's an interesting combination." He was acting weird. I wonder what's up.

I decide to get the French toast, which you can't go wrong with. I kinda feel like a drink but I think the portions are pretty big here... "Hey Satoru, do you want to split a mango smoothie with me?" "Oh sure! Now I'm excited to try the food." A waitress comes over and asks for our order, and after 15 minutes of chatting about our favourite characters from chainsaw man, our food comes. It does look pretty good, you really can't go wrong with French toast.

His food looks pretty good too, and he seems excited to try it. I go to take some of the drink, but there's only one straw. We forgot to ask for two. I figure he won't care, he had the cereal from the same spoon earlier. As I pass the drink over to try some, he hesitates for a second and then drinks from the straw. The same straw that I drank from. I'm not embarrassed right? It's normal for 2 guys to share a straw! He's not embarrassed!

His fidgeting after drinking some says otherwise. And thinking back, he was a little red when we used the same spoon.
I guess we're both a little embarrassed.
