Better with you - Gojo x Geto

Chapter 12

-Gojo POV-

As we go into the ramen place Suguru suggested, we quickly get seated at a private booth seat. "This place seems a little fancy, is it expensive?" I ask. "No, it's actually pretty affordable. The interior is really nice though, and the food is great."  We start looking at the menus sitting on our table, and everything looks pretty great. "Woah Suguru, they have a matcha ramen! How cool does that sound? I think I'm gonna get that." Suguru nods in approval.

"I think I'm gonna stick with my normal enoki mushroom ramen. You know I love mushrooms." Suguru really does. Unlike me, he always chooses something with mushrooms when we go out for dinner. I really don't get it, just the thought of eating a fungus grosses me out! Mushrooms are disgusting and should be banned from all stores and restaurants.

"Ok then, have your stupid mushrooms. I'll give you some of my beautiful matcha ramen, and then you'll wish you ordered mine!" I say. Soon, a waitress comes over and asks for our order. Suguru says what we want, and after about 15 minutes of talking later, our food comes. "My matcha ramen looks good doesn't it! Your mushroom ramen looks ok, but it could never compare to mine!" Suguru sighs at this. "Oh Satoru, when will you stop being scared of mushrooms... they don't bite!"

"Hey, I'm not scared! I would eat a million mushrooms if I had to." I state. That's definitely not true. "Fine fine, but how will I know which is better? I have to try some of yours to decide." Suguru says in a... smug tone? "Yeah, try some!" I shove a spoonful of my ramen broth into his mouth, and he looks surprised (At the taste and Gojo shoving something in his mouth😏). "I guess it is pretty good. Nice choice Satoru." I would try some of his to see which one I think is better but nothing can make me eat mushrooms.

We sit, eating our ramen and talking about random things like always. Doing stuff like this will never get old. We are both so excited for summer, this is our second last week before the break starts. This year felt like it went by so quickly, and it's crazy that I only met Suguru this year.

As we finish and pay for the food, we leave the restaurant and start walking in a random direction. Suddenly, I feel Suguru's hand on my head. "Hey! I'm not a handrest. I'm not even that much shorter than you!" I say, but Suguru doesn't move his hand and just looks down at me smugly with a look that says "but you're still shorter..." Wait a second... is he trying to tease me??? He called me cute, then he made me give him my ramen, he probably predicted that I would be a little embarrassed about that.

I have to get him back. I need to see him embarrassed. I'm not some little kid, I can't let him tease me without doing anything! I should go for the direct approach, and I have to make sure I don't get embarrassed after saying it.
"Hey Suguru?"
"Yes Satoru?"
"You're really attractive, I don't know how more people aren't trying to go out with you." I say calmly.
When Suguru hears this he starts coughing and he seems really surprised. I did it! I look down at him hunched over from that simple compliment, and say smugly "Got you!"

He'll never try to tease me.
Wait a second... I WANT HIM TO TEASE ME! Shoot. His teasing consisted of calling me cute and doing very couple'y stuff. That's a massive step forward from before! Do I tell him I want him to keep teasing me...? It would be stupid but I mean... it would definetely get a point across. What would that point be though?

Would the point be that I like the teasing and that I like him? What if he figures it out... I guess I'll have to deal with less teasing. I never should have tried to get him back! We keep walking and gradually begin to head in the direction of our places. "Say Satoru, I was thinking..." Suguru says. He seems kind of hesitant to say what he was thinking. Maybe he's worried about what I will think about it.

"I was thinking that maybe, you and I could move in together. I mean, we already spend most of our days in each others apartments, and it would also be good financially to just share the rent on one place." Woah. That's a big suggestion. Honestly, I have been thinking about that too, but there was only one thing stopping me from immediately agreeing.

Living in the same place as the person you like is crazy, no matter what. We would always be together, sleep in the same apartment, have a couch to sit together and watch movies somewhat romantically. The thought of that always holds me back, however if Suguru is suggesting it... it sounds better, like he would be accepting the somewhat romantic couch seating too. "I actually think that might be a good idea, but who's apartment would we switch to?"

If we decide to do this, one of us would be moving in with the other as both of the apartments have 1 extra bedroom sized room and decent living space. "Well, what do you think? I'm good with moving into your apartment or you moving into mine. Wanna flip a coin?" Suguru suggests. I pull one out of my coat pocket and call heads. It spins in the air andddd...

"It's tails. Ok, so I'll move into your apartment Suguru.When do you think we should do this? I'm good as soon as I let my landlord know." I say. "Well, I'm actually ok with whenever! My extra room is empty, so we can start moving your stuff up today if you want."

Well, I'm going to live with my best friend who is also the guy I like.

I am honestly getting so into this story, I almost feel like I'm reading if every time I write something cute happening! It's actually so fun to write even if the story isn't that good.

Fun experience, would recommend!
