THE mansion was abuzz with activity as Vince's men carried out their orders. Every room seemed to be filled with urgency and purpose, but beneath it all, tension lingered—quiet, sharp, and impossible to ignore.

Lila felt it even when no one said a word.

Something had changed.

Vince had been on edge ever since the discovery of Dominic's involvement. His instinct told him that there was more to the story, something insidious lurking within his own ranks.

As the days passed, Vince noticed small inconsistencies in their operations. Information leaks, missed opportunities, and a growing sense of mistrust began to plague his mind. He knew he had to act quickly to root out the traitor.

One evening, Vince called a meeting in his private study. His most trusted men gathered, their expressions serious, the air thick with anticipation.

Vince stood at the head of the room, his presence alone enough to silence everyone.

Marco, his second-in-command and longtime friend, stood by his side, exuding an air of loyalty and reliability.

"We have a problem," Vince began, his voice steady but laced with anger. "Someone inside this house has been feeding information to Dominic Russo. This betrayal puts us all at risk, especially Lila."

The room fell silent, the weight of his words sinking in.

Vince continued, "I have reason to believe that the traitor is among us. This ends tonight."

The men exchanged uneasy glances, but Vince's confidence in his judgment remained unshaken. He had to find the mole and deal with them before any more damage could be done.

"I need each of you to come forward and swear your loyalty," Vince commanded. "If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear."

One by one, the men approached, pledging their allegiance to Vince. When it was Marco's turn, he stepped forward with a determined expression. "You know I've got your back, Vince. Always have, always will."

Vince nodded, but there was a flicker of doubt in his eyes. He couldn't afford to overlook any possibility. "Marco, I need you to be honest with me. Have you noticed anything suspicious lately?"

Marco shook his head. "Nothing out of the ordinary, boss. I've been keeping a close eye on things."

As the night wore on, Vince's suspicions grew. He began to piece together the clues, realizing that the leaks had started around the same time Marco had taken on more responsibilities. The thought of betrayal from his closest ally was a bitter pill to swallow, but Vince had to confront it.

Vince asked Marco to meet him in the underground bunker—a place where they could talk in private. The air was cool and damp, the walls lined with weapons and equipment.

"What’s going on?”

Vince closed the door behind them, his heart heavy with the weight of the confrontation.

"Marco, I need to ask you something," Vince said, his voice low and serious. "And I need you to be completely honest with me."

Marco's brow furrowed in confusion. "Of course, Vince. About what?"

Vince took a deep breath, steeling himself for the possibility that he might be wrong. "I've been investigating the leaks, and all signs point to someone close to me. Someone I trust implicitly. Marco, I need to know—are you the traitor?"

Marco's eyes widened in shock and anger. "Vince, how could you even think that? After everything we've been through?"

"I don't want to believe it," Vince admitted, "but the evidence is there. All the evidence leads to you."
