I slowly sat up out of bed this morning rubbing my eyes. What time is it? I looked at my clock. It was ten in the morning. That's not bad at all huh?
I got out of bed then made my way over to the bathroom. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed and ready for the day. I put on a pair of low rise black jeans, with a white graphic tea, and a black zip up jacket.
I yawned as I made my way towards my kitchen. I opened the refrigerator door and pulled out some cream cheese before I put a bagel in the toaster. Once the bagel was done I topped it with cream cheese and strawberries.
I walked over to my window and gazed out at the city, oh how beautiful this place truly is. I can hear the traffic, people honking at each other out of anger, I can see the people running who are late to their jobs, the people who are just so done with everything, and of course the people who don't have a home because just to breathe you have to pay money.
I sighed. What a sad world we have to live in huh?
Once I finished my bagel I walked back over to the kitchen and put my dish in the sink to wash later.
I walked to my doorway grabbing my keys then heading outside to go to 'work'.
A few minutes went by. I got some coffee and now I was at my 'job'. I wouldn't really call this a job, after all I don't get paid for what I do.
I walked into the building and set down a latte on Alice's desk. She looked up from her computer and smiled at me before she said "Hey Lani! How are you doing today?" I responded in a relaxed tone "it's been a good morning, not much has been going on. And believe it or not I haven't had an incident with my powers acting up today either" I smiled softly "that's good, thanks for the coffee by the way. And you look totally adorbs in that outfit girl" she said hyping me up like she did every day. I did a little spin to show off what I was wearing "yeah I know, this outfit is it"
We chatted for a little while longer before I left to go to my office. I have some 'work' to do. Especially before tonight. Because tonight's a special night
