Monday had arrived, bringing along with it the start of April, which signaled the start of a new school year. You were quite unsure of what to expect, though you did recently discover something. During the weekend you were doing some research about Nekoma's volleyball team and you learned that in the past the school had actually made it to nationals. Filled with curiosity, you wondered what it would be like to go to the nationals.
The amount of eyes watching you play a national match, that would be such an exciting yet nerve-wracking experience. You made a mental note to check out the school's gym. Maybe the team now was capable of reaching the nationals, or maybe next year, or the year after.
Who knows, but you also wanted the chance to see a good match and learn more about the sport. Besides that, you were crossing your fingers there the school would have cute guys. A slight part of you hoped that there was a possibility that you would encounter that guy back from the convenience store.
What are the chances that he could be attending this school? 'Definitely low, closer to being impossible.'
The walk from your house to Nekoma was a short one, only taking fifteen minutes to get to and from the school. It was currently 8:00am, which meant you had only thirty minutes before school started.
You had woken a whole hour earlier, so that you had time to do your whole morning routine. However, breakfast wasn't part of that morning routine and you wanted to get to school with some extra time before the bell.
Luckily for you, when you and your Aunt went out for dinner, the both of you ordered too much, leading to a lot of leftovers. You grabbed one of the many sourdough breads you robbed the restaurant from, cutting in half with a knife. Rummaging through your fridge, you picked out whatever ingredients that could work to create a sandwich. Then you grabbed a ziploc bag to carry it with you, so that you could eat it on the way.
Quickly slipping on your backpack and shoes on, you grabbed the ziploc bag and made your way out the door–not before yelling out a goodbye to your aunt who was busy getting ready for her job. As soon as you were outside, the cold air hit your face and your bare legs.
Nekoma had uniforms for the students and females were required to wear a black skirt. You didn't own any leggings to wear under, not that you would have worn them anyway. Personally, you'd rather freeze to death than have to wear material that tightly clings to your legs.
You did try wearing leggings once, but it was too much of a hassle just trying to get your legs through the fitted material. All you could do was just become immune to the cold, and hope that walking might bring back some warmth into your body.
The walk to school was peaceful and your last minute thrown together sandwich was actually really tasty. Before you knew it, you had arrived at the gates of the school. Truthfully, you weren't as nervous as you had expected yourself to be, but you couldn't stop the sigh that came out of your lips.
The thought that you had to make new friends all over again slightly pained you. Preferably, it would be better if you were able to just sit back and analyze everyone so that you could get a good idea of their character. This was so that you would avoid becoming friends with someone you would regret later in the future. But if you did do that, you'd probably seem like a weird loner.
Looking up at the school, a thought slipped into your mind. 'What if everyone were just psychopaths.' You simply laughed at your own absurd thought, but on the impossible chance that such a thing would happen it would be a good story to tell others–how you survived your super psycho highschool.
Entering the building itself, you took notice that there were a bunch of young students just like you. They seemed a bit lost, and were twisting and turning their heads, looking for some sort of map to show them where to go.
