You could feel your ears, your cheeks, your skin all burning. This situation was mortifying to say the least and to think this would be your first official interaction with your soon-to-be crush. He didn't seem that bothered, and he was still holding the same switch he used all through half of the school day.

'Can he even survive twenty four hours without his stupid switch.'

Not that you were trying to make assumptions or anything, but there was the chance that Kenma was too busy playing on his switch—leading him to bump into you. Or maybe you really did just collide with him because you weren't paying attention and were rushing through the hallways.

You weren't exactly sure, but you didn't know what to say regardless. All you could do was shamelessly stare at his face. Something that you didn't have the opportunity to do until now. He seemed pretty spaced out of the conversation, if you would even call it a 'conversation'.

You've probably already thought this a million times already—but now that you were up close and had the time to really take in his features—you couldn't stop yourself from being awestruck at his face.

The situation continued to grow more awkward since Kenma hadn't really replied to Harumi's apology. He seemed out of it, as if he was unsure whether he was actually having this conversation or not.

Harumi, herself, noticed the awkward tension and debated whether the two of you should just walk away or wait for the guy to say something. Not to mention, she had become aware of the shocked look that was permanently etched onto your face. In her mind, she considered whether the reason for your expression was because you had a strange phobia of males or you found the guy cute.

'Is this what they mean by love at first sight?'. She lightly tapped your foot, giving you a look. This managed to disrupt your trance, and you turned to face her. You were about to open your mouth to apologize once more, but a loud voice interrupted you.

"Kenma, already getting famous with the ladies, didn't expect that from you!"

Unfortunately, you are able to recognize that voice thanks to that encounter from earlier—where he also seemed to just pop out of nowhere. 'He's like Kenma's fairy godmother or something.' This whole situation was just ironic because part of the reason that Harumi wanted to go out was to see this guy who interrupted the meaningful awkward moment you were having with your future boyfriend.

Inside, you were groaning at this weird situation and how easily this all could have been avoided if Kenma had just uttered out a quick "It's fine" or "You're good". But no. He just stayed silent and now. You were just really hungry and wanted to eat your lunch.

But your irritation was short lived as you noticed Kenma's deadpan expression at the arrival of his friend and the comment he made towards the three of you. You had once again found Kenma attractive despite whatever facial expression he carried on his face.

'Should I be thankful that I was graced with his presence? Maybe? Or maybe...I should fucking end myself right now, right here!'.

Kuroo immediately made his way towards Kenma's side, wrapping his arm around Kenma–who still had an annoyed expression on his face. Both you and Harumi just stood there, lost in confusion.

You were trying to think of ways to remove you and your friend from this situation that didn't require you to actually converse with the two. Not that you didn't want to talk to Kenma, but you were really hungry and no man will never stop you from eating.

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw that Harumi's eyes had slightly widened—you assumed that she had figured out and connected the dots. The guy her cousin had mentioned was now standing in front of her. Using your foot, you lightly nudged hers to try and convey a message that you both just desperately needed to exit this situation.
