Kasaii's eyes were still bloodshot as she arrived at Tokyo High, her determination to get away clear in her stride.

"You run away."

Each step felt heavy, but she refused to stop.

The morning sun cast long shadows across the training grounds, where she spotted Yuji sparring with Megumi. The sight of them, especially Yuji, brought a brief flicker of relief to her heart.

He was doing well, recovering and growing stronger every day.

"You run away."

"Yuji," she called, trying her best to sound firm.

Yuji paused mid-move, turning to face her. His expression shifted from concentration to mild surprise. Megumi and Nobara exchanged glances, sensing Kasaii's unusually weak tone.

"Pack up some clothes," she continued, leaving no room for argument. "We're going to Kyoto."

Yuji blinked, momentarily taken aback by the suddenness of her demand. "Kyoto? Now?" He glanced at Megumi and Nobara, who both looked equally puzzled.

"Now," Kasaii confirmed, her gaze steady. She moved closer, lowering her voice so only Yuji could hear. "There's something I need to do, and I need you with me."

Yuji nodded, recognizing the seriousness of the situation. "Alright, give me a minute."

"You run away."

As Yuji jogged off to gather his things, Kasaii turned to Megumi and Nobara. "I'll need you both to cover for us while we're gone, okay? Don't tell Gojo where we're going."

Megumi frowned slightly. "Is everything okay, Kasaii-sensei?"

Kasaii's expression softened just a touch, appreciating their concern. "It's something I need to handle. Don't worry, I'll make sure Yuji stays safe."

Nobara crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You better. If anything happens to him, we won't let you off easy."

A faint smile tugged at the corners of Kasaii's lips. "Of course."

Yuji returned quickly, a small duffel bag slung over his shoulder. "Ready."

Kasaii nodded, turning on her heel. "I'll talk to Yaga first then we go."

"You run away."

When she reached the office, she didn't bother with pleasantries. The door slammed behind her, causing his and his puppet's heads to turn in surprise. "I'm going," she declared, her voice hard and resolute, leaving no room for argument.

Yaga sighed, leaning back in his chair, studying her face. He could see the haze in her eyes, and he knew better than to argue. "To where?"

"Kyoto," Kasaii replied curtly.

Yaga's brow raised in momentary relief. "Thank God... I thought you were leaving for good. What about the kid?" he asked, referring to Yuji.

"He's coming with me," Kasaii stated flatly.

"Did Gojo not tell you?" Yaga's eyebrows furrowed even deeper, a hint of confusion mixing with his concern.

"Tell me what?" she snapped, her patience wearing thin.

Did this have something to do with why he took so long to come home the other day?
