Kasaii pushed open the heavy wooden doors and the room fell silent upon the moment she entered, all eyes turning to her.

The assembly was clearly an important one.

Tsukumo and Yuta were present, Yaga and Gakuganji, the representatives of the three major clans (Satoru, Naoya, & Noritoshi), and all 6 of the fucking elders who governed the society.

Kasaii's gaze swept over the gathered figures, her expression unreadable.

Her two katanas were strapped securely to her side, their familiar weight almost comforting. The only recent instance she's brought both of them out was when she fought the 4 special-grades.

Not many fights are worthy of her 2 blades.

She also wore her Uchiha robe, for the first time in a while, its dark fabric adorned with the iconic red and white fans, a symbol of both her heritage and their power.

She could see the surprise in their eyes, the whispers that passed between them, but she paid no mind. Whatever had transpired in the few short days since she had left for Kyoto had clearly left its mark on her.

Her once vibrant eyes now cold as steel— almost dead.

She walked with a deliberate calm, each step exuding confidence and authority. The elders, their eyes sharp and calculating, masked their faces. Though, it was no problem for Kasaii to sense their underlying currents of suspicion— no matter how hard they try to hide it.

Finally, her eyes met Gojo's, and for a brief moment, time seemed to stop. He froze, unable to mask the emotions that surged within him. His usually carefree and confident expression, replaced by a look of guilt and concern.

Kasaii held his gaze for a heartbeat longer before tearing her eyes away.

She came to a stop at the center of the room, her back straight and her head held high.

The silence was thick, almost suffocating, as everyone waited for her to speak. But Kasaii remained silent, letting the weight of her presence settle over the assembly.

She wanted them to feel it— the weight of an entire clan's anguish.

The weight of a sorrow remained brewing for a thousand years.

After was seemed like hours, the head elder that cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "Uchiha Kasaii, you were summoned here today because of recent events and your conduct."

Kasaii tilted her head slightly but remained silent, her expression unreadable.

"Your actions have raised concerns," another elder spoke up. "We need to understand your intentions and ensure that they align with the interests of the society."

Kasaii's eyes narrowed before she responded, her voice steady and strong. "I understand your concerns. However, can you be more specific?"

The head elder leaned forward, raising his hands into contemplation before he spoke. "Child, it seems you do not understand. Let me begin with your recent battle with the four special-grade curses we assigned you to take care of. You managed to engage them yet allowed three to escape? Explain yourself."

Kasaii's expression remained stoic. "The battle was more complicated than it appears on paper— the curses were coordinated. My priority was to neutralize the immediate threat to Yuji."

She deliberately avoided mentioning Geto.

One of the elders interjected, his voice sharp. "And in doing so, you allowed them to escape and later regroup? This was a significant oversight, don't you think?"
