Seungcheol pulled his car to a stop a discreet distance from where YN had parked. He recognized the building - a luxurious apartment complex reserved for wealthy, foreign business tycoons. Using his business card as identification, he gained entry. Scanning the directory in each block, his eyes finally landed on a gold nameplate in Block D: KIM TAEHYUNG.

Taehyung was living in the most expensive, luxurious penthouse in the entire complex. Seungcheol let out a heavy sigh and boarded the elevator, his heart pounding with a mixture of dread and anticipation. What if he saw something he wasn't prepared for? YN in Taehyung's arms, tears streaming down her face, a reunion fueled by years of longing? Maybe it was just a friendly visit, a chance to catch up after all this time.

He reached the penthouse floor. Stepping out of the elevator, his heart hammered against his ribs. The security measures - a keypad and retina scanner - confirmed his suspicion that a simple confrontation wouldn't be possible. He couldn't just barge in and take YN back. But with each passing moment, the thought of what he might see behind that door threatened to shatter his heart.

He waited, hoping YN would emerge. But even after half an hour, there was no sign of her. His heart ached, tears stinging his eyes. He yearned to hold her close, to take her back with him. Yet, a part of him - the part that championed kindness, understanding, and letting go of true love - held him back.

Meanwhile, inside the penthouse...

Taehyung's Bedroom

Taehyung bounced on the bed, a wide, childish grin plastered across his face. "Mommy came! Mommy came!"

YN watched him in disbelief, his behavior a stark contrast to his usual cool demeanor. She shot a look at Jimin and Jungkook, who stood beside the bed, equally exasperated. Taehyung had spent the past few minutes tormenting them, calling them "uncle," complaining about a "bad uncle," and whining endlessly for his "momma." His drunken stupor, fueled by a raging fever, had transformed him into a hyperactive child. It was both comical and concerning.

YN set her purse and phone down and hurried over to Taehyung's side, worry etched on her face. She reached out to gently hold his arms, but he swatted her away with surprising strength.

"Bad momma lives with one bad uncle," Taehyung mumbled, attempting a cute baby voice. However, his low, raspy tone made it sound more like a growl. YN's heart ached. She knew who the "bad uncle" was, and why he was calling her that.

The strong scent of alcohol hit her as she noticed empty bottles scattered on the nightstand and overflowing from the built-in bar counter. It was clear Taehyung hadn't stopped drinking since she arrived; in fact, he'd likely consumed more.

Her gaze snapped to Jimin and Jungkook, who were watching the scene unfold with a helpless shrug.

"He was drinking, and you two just let him?" YN's voice was laced with anger and disappointment.

Jimin sighed. "YN, it's his habit. He drinks every night until he passes out, usually after collapsing with a fever. We try, we really do, but he doesn't listen to us."

Jungkook added, "We know we're supposed to be his friends, but he's stubborn. He wouldn't stop demanding to see you. And since his fever wasn't breaking, we figured you were the only one who could calm him down."

YN started to rummage through her purse, searching for medication. "I thought maybe some medicine would work but an injection will be better..." she muttered, but her words were cut short.
