Seungcheol: You are back ?

Mrs Choi: Yes, and c'mon, and get up, I want you on the dining table within 20 minutes, hurry up now.

Seungcheol blinked, disoriented. His mother's authoritative tone was a sharp contrast to the events of the previous night. A pang of worry shot through him. Where was YN? Had something happened to her?

He swung his legs over the side of the bed, a sharp pain lancing through his head. The remnants of last night's alcohol consumption were still lingering. With a groan, he stood up and made his way to the bathroom.

Twenty minutes later, Seungcheol emerged from the bathroom, dressed casually. His eyes scanned the dining room, searching for YN. His parents were already seated, but there was no sign of his wife. A wave of concern washed over him. Where could she be?

Finally his eyes landed on her who he was searching for, YN,she wasthere in the kitchen, garnishing the breakfast, his heart melted watching her beautifully dressed but still in full sleeves clothes, in the morning, in the kitchen, what's wrong with her. His thoughts got cut off hearing his father's voice,

Mr. Choi: Good morning son..

The warm yet cold greeting made him gulp because he knew, the consequences of drinking and coming back home, waking up by your mom's voice was just the warning.

Seungcheol: Good morning D-dad.

"Have a seat, dear," Mrs. Choi instructed her son, her voice gentle but firm. Turning to YN, she inquired, "Is breakfast ready, dear?"

"Yes, Mom," YN replied, her voice steady. She carried the tray of food to the dining table, her movements deliberate and controlled. Seungcheol's gaze followed her every move, his heart aching as he observed the forced cheerfulness masking her pain. He knew her too well to miss the subtle signs of distress beneath the surface.

YN returned to the kitchen to retrieve the remaining items and juice. Mrs. Choi seized the opportunity to address her son in hushed tones.

"You should apologize to her, Cheol," she admonished, her voice laced with disapproval. "You were completely out of control last night. She took care of you while you were in that state. When we arrived, she was exhausted, barely able to keep her eyes open."

Seungcheol's jaw dropped in shock. He had been so focused on his own discomfort that he hadn't considered the toll it must have taken on YN. Guilt gnawed at him as he realized the extent of his behavior.

YN returned to the table, setting down the freshly poured juice for everyone except Seungcheol, she made lime juice for him. Seungcheol's gaze lingered on her, his mind still reeling from the events of the night. He could sense her discomfort, a stark contrast to her usual cheerful demeanor.

"It's delicious, YN," Mrs. Choi complimented, her voice warm. Mr. Choi nodded in agreement. YN offered a small smile, her eyes avoiding Seungcheol's.

"I have a meeting this afternoon around three," Seungcheol announced, his voice flat. "I'll be back later."

His parents nodded in understanding. YN lowered her gaze, her heart aching. She wanted to talk to him, to explain everything, but the weight of the situation held her tongue.

"I'll be leaving now," YN announced, her voice barely a whisper. "Bye Mom, Dad, bye Cheol."

Seungcheol's heart skipped a beat at her farewell. He knew she was avoiding a direct conversation. He watched as she ascended the stairs to their bedroom, her movements slow and deliberate. His parents nodded knowingly, their silent message clear: it was time for a heart-to-heart.
