After being crumpled up into a ball, the small piece of parchment was rolled across the table.

The council chamber was quiet. Grand Maester Pycelle shuffled into his seat, followed by Varys, who moved silently and seemed to almost appear out of thin air. Lords Mace Tyrell and Oberyn Martell entered side by side, a contrast of styles but a united front in representing their respective realms.

Their boy king waited for all of them to take their seats before speaking, his gaze sweeping over each of them in turn.

Steffon's jaw clenched as he spoke, his voice steady yet loaded with anger. "The Westerlands have taken the audacity to raise an army against my decision regarding their... former lord liege," he announced, a hint of ire in his eyes as he refused to acknowledge Tywin no more as a grandfather. "Threatening the peace we've been working towards since the end of the War."

His eyes flicked over the faces in the room, a small, knowing smirk playing on his lips as he noticed the absence of his mother and uncle.

Tyrion walked into the council chamber, his stride confident and a small smile on his face. "Your Grace! I'm sorry for being late," he quipped, his gaze settling on Steffon.

"Oh, not late at all." Steffon couldn't help but smile at the sight of his favorite imp uncle as he waved a hand towards the empty seat next to him. "We were only starting to discuss the issues regarding your family, Uncle."

"Ah. I must say, Your Grace, this is nothing but another day for me." Tyrion chuckled dryly.

The council members watched the exchange with varying degrees of surprise and curiosity. Lord Mace looked mildly uncomfortable with the Imp's jest, while Varys's expression was as unreadable as ever. Oberyn, on the other hand, seemed slightly amused, his eyes fixed on Tyrion with an almost calculating look.

Steffon turned his attention back to the council, a hint of pride in his voice. "I would like to take this opportunity to announce that Tyrion, in addition to being granted as Lord of Casterly Rock and The Warden Of The Westerlands, will here on out be the new Master of Laws and Master of Coin."

To have one more seat at the council meant being the closest to being Hand of The King without being as such. Despite knowing he would now have more than one office, Tyrion seems more amused than upset.

The council members once again reacted with surprise, whether they were against or with the decision, it was Steffon to decide alone anyhow now with the absence of Tywin. The small, impish man becoming the Master of Laws and Coin was a choice no one had anticipated indeed, especially with the Lannisters in the Westerlands raising a rebellion after Tywin's banishment to the Wall.

With that being said, Steffon refocused the conversation, his stoicism resurfacing. "Back to the matter at hand," Steffon declared, his voice firm and authoritative. "Uncle, so it seems there's an enraged bunch of lions within your lands. The Lannisters in Lannisport have raised a rebellion against me."

Tyrion's face darkened at the mention of his family. He knew better than anyone the pride and arrogance of his kin. "Oh, they have always been a contentious bunch, especially when they feel they've been slighted. No doubt they believe my father's punishment was too harsh. You know how lions are, Your Grace."

As he chuckled, the corner of Steffon's lip curved upon his imp uncle's words then.

Oberyn Martell, who had been silently observing the exchange, spoke up for the first time. "Perhaps a show of force is in order. A demonstration of what happens to those who rise against you, Your Grace."
