It was a week after Aaron joined my school and I hadn't been to school for the week. I don't know how I faced him that day but I was not ready to be around him for the next 10 years. I found out Aaron unblocked me as he was texting me, asking why I hadn't been to school. He also asked Scarlet why I was absent. She told me he seemed worried. And even though I didn't want to go to school I reluctantly gave myself a talk looking at the mirror and forced myself to go to school.
Right as I was getting ready, I heard a notification on my phone. It was a text... FROM SAMUEL. My heart started beating so fast, my palms got all sweaty and I felt air leave my lungs. The text read:
"Hey Navy right? Mrs. Hernandez recommended you to me for tutoring, she told me she would talk to you too. I guess she did?"
Oh how I loved Mrs. Hernandez at that moment. She was the English Lit teacher and she volunteered me to tutor SAMUEL!!!
"Hii. Yeah It's Navy and I haven't been to school for the last week so Mrs. Hernandez hasn't talked to me yet, but I'm coming to school today so Ig she will talk to me todayy"
"Damn the last week? You okay right?"
"Yeah just some stuff."
"Aight see you later?"
"Of course byee"
AHH!!! Words couldn't define my happiness right now. I immediately called Scarlet and told her whatever just happened. "No offense he's kind of ugly you know." She says with a disgusted look on her face
"Come on Scarlet, you think everyone is ugly." I sigh.
"That is true I suppose," she says with her dramatic face on. I just laugh and we talk for a while then hang up.
Even if I am not ready to see Aaron's face, I do want to talk to Samuel. So, I was pretty happy to go to school, for probably the first time.
