Eventful Rain

Chapter 6

"Is it morning already? My head still hurts."

"I remembered yesterday that when I got home, my mother was very angry with me because I had a wound on my head, and she thought that I got into a fight at school."

The alarm rang, and he got up from his bed, took care of his school clothes, and went out of his room to eat breakfast. When he came out, his mother immediately noticed him while preparing a bag of food for his son. She approached James to talk to him about what happened yesterday.

"Son? Are you really okay? You know, I'm just worried about you because maybe one day you got a scratch on your eye. It's good if only that got better right away, but no, you maybe got blind. It happens to you. Yesterday you had a head wound. Maybe today you'll break your leg or hand, or maybe you get killed because of the bully in the school."

His mother said in a panic that the young man was surprised by what he heard and choked on his food due to the shock of what his mother told him-that he would break a bone in his hand or foot, and most of all, maybe he died.

"Augh augh... Ma Mama!?"

"I'm sorry. I just panic like this when you come home with a wound, and you know I'm your mother. its normal for me to panic when I see my son have wounds like this."

"Mom, I promise you that nothing will happen now."

"Alright, you promised that, okay?"

His mother left and went out of the house. When she left the house, James thought about what would happen today. He thinks about the activities, lectures, and projects that will be given this day, and suddenly he thinks about the weather.

"What is the weather going to be like now? Is it sunny or raining? I know its going to rain. Wait, where is my phone? I know I put it here somewhere."

He tried to find his phone to contact Anna about what would happen. After a long time of searching for his phone, he realized something: he hasn't had a phone yet this year because he bought his first phone three years in the future after he saved enough money for his phone as a working student at night.

"Why did I forget about this? I haven't had a smartphone yet."

After some time, he got up and go in the bathroom to take shower and get ready for school. While in the bathroom, he remembered all that had happened in the past after Anna died.

I remembered again the day Anna died, as if I was going to go crazy, as I remembered what happened the day I hugged her cold corpse and her blood was flowing in the middle of the road with the heavy rain, and a few days after she was dead, mom and dad were in the accident. When that happened to me, I didn't really know what to do and I just said to myself

"I've lost everything. What's the point of my life, huh? Hahahaha! I don't know what to do!"

I don't know what went through my mind at that time. I tried to kill myself with a knife, and I said it before.

"Maybe this is the only way I can pay for my sins. Sorry, Anna, and mom and dad, I'm going with you there."

when I was about to be stabbed in the throat with a knife, I stopped because someone hugged me from behind as if begging me not to kill myself. I slowly let go of the knife and I cried so much that I fell on my knees and asked for forgiveness over and over again. and just the day that happened, I accepted everything and was able to recover. Little by little, I tried to socialize with other people again, and I worked in a fast food restaurant to collect tuition fee for college, but sometimes I still remembered the past, and I felt guilt again.
