Chapter 06

"My daughter,my daughter!,"the king screamed to the bottom of his lungs."she was with you why didn't you save her."

The king grabbed the guard who was with Lucy by the throat the other guards held him back

"Leave me!let me kill this immature person let me finish him leave me!,"he fell down on his knees

"I'm deeply sorry she said to me she was just conducting an experiment,"the guard kneeled down and softly said trying to hide his deep drenching fear.

The king started walking towards to the palace.The palace was quite far from hell house so they were going to arrive at dawn to the palace.

"I promise I'll rip Eldermor's soul out and make sure he never escapes from hell,"the king loudly said

The guards swallowed nothingness and continued walking from behind him no one wanted to stress the king out even more or they would be killed and he would cut their body parts.

The king was very well known for he short temper if someone annoyed him he would slit their throats infrastructure of the whole kindom just to show them an example of what he's capable to do.

The guard trembled to the thought of what the king would do to him when they got to the palace.

"What if he burns me alive like he does to his enemies, "he buries himself in his own thoughts he needed to do something quick or he would be punished."I should have not let the beauty of the princess trap me I should have gotten out of there when I finished my job."

They continued with their journey as the king led them.He was in the front and no guard dared to go closer to him.

After a long time they were all tires but the king suggested they go further so that by the time everyone wakes up they should have reached the palace.

At the village Eric had just arrived home from dropping the princess.

"I wonder what she wants to do in there I don't really trust royals she could be plotting something,"that came out barely a whisper.

He walked in the house her two little sisters ran to hug her.He smiled and hugged them back.

"Mmmh seems like they love you more than they love their mother,"she slightly smiled as she made her way to the kitchen

"Did you bring us candy today,"they looked at him with their puppy eyes which they knew he couldn't resist

"You little rascals always find a way to manipulate me," he tickled them a bit and they both bursted into laughter

He slipped two candies in each of their pockets.

"I knew you wouldn't disappoint,"one of them said and they all giggled

"Now make sure mom doesn't see them," he whispered as he hugged them again

They ran to their room Eric went to the kitchen his intention was to have a talk with his mother.

"Son,"she turned to him

"Mom we need to talk,"he looked a bit down then turned to face her.

They both sat down

"Mom I've been working overtime but nothing seems to come together and I can't settle all the debts we have,"he held her hand

"I feared this might happen and we are also close to losing the house please we can't let that happen Jenni and Jennifer live here they are just kids they can't live in the streets,"tears fell down her cheeks

"I don't understand why dad did this to us how could he leave us with all his debts now we are suffering,"he wailed

His mother comforted him

"Wait!"he paused a bit."today I was given gold we can use it to settle some of our debts

"What who gave it to you?"she looked at him thinking he had stolen it

"The princess wanted me to sneak her out of the palace so in return she gave me this small bag of gold dust and it's real,"he took the small bag which was the size of a mocking bird

"Impossible how can that be I hope you didn't steal that gold I've taught you better Eric,"she gave him a death stare

"No I swear I didn't steal it I can never stoop that low,"he looked back at her mother

For a long time they've had each other and Eric started hustling at a young age just for her mother to never go to bed with an empty stomach.Her mother has always been his top priority together with his little twin sisters.

Eric hated royals because they had everything that they didn't have and they get anything they want without lifting a finger but here they were working really hard but they got nothing.

"Maybe I was wrong about royals I mean princess Lucy offered me gold dust just for transport she was really genuine,"he thought to himself."no she has plenty of gold in the palace and she only gave me gold dust because she wanted to go out of the palace."

He got up and went to his room.It was not really spacious and it only had a mattress and a small wardrobe.

"Princess Lucy has the prettiest eyes and she has a breathtaking scent unlike us but she's rich what did I expect,"he memorized every little detail about her and then he smiled a bit.

Princess Lucy was always inside the palace she only came out during royal meetings only so basically those who saw her from close were thought to be the luckiest.

He fell asleep

"The boy has to be brought home,"
"No I won't let you ruin his life like you ruined mine,"
"You can never stop destiny from playing it's role,"
"I won't let anything happen to him,"

He quickly woke up,he was breathing heavily and his heart was beating very hard his face was drenched in sweat.

"What was that why did it feel so real?" he tried breathing slowly."it's just a dream I'm sure it meant nothing big."
