Death Drive floated aimlessly in the infinite stretches of nothingness that was Limbo. She had no clue as to why it happened, but she felt all of her memories coming back to her, one after another. She was being regaled by her own memories as her past that seemed so far away began to return to her. As she went backwards in time walking down Memory Lane, she could remember each scene almost perfectly...

"You'll be with me forever, right?" she asked Sun, looking at the mare she knew was the love of her life, who was currently shielding the two of them from the downpour they had been caught in. She'd never felt more loved in her entire life, and it was like all her childhood fantasies of finding true love had come true.

"So, yeah... Sun... She's my girlfriend. She's... special." Death Drive said to her eagerly listening classmates, who seemed to hang on her every word. "She's kinda like... a cute puppy. Something you can look at and say 'that's adorable!' but not something you can take seriously." she elaborated casually, not knowing that her comments would reignite awful doubts in Sun's mind that would cause her untold levels of guilt and internal devastation that she possibly still hasn't recovered from.

"No wonder I turned out to be such an awful person. The Fates love you and hate me. I wish I ended up dumb and happy like you." she sighed to Sun, with a somewhat hollow smile on her tearful face. The two stood next to the window of the pale unicorn's cold, depressingly empty room, pouring their hearts out to each other as if the house itself spurred on their pent-up desire to confide in someone else about their darkest moments.

"C'mon, whatever you did, you can't just escape from it. Make up for it and move on... That's what you told me to do, right?" she said, outstretching her hoof to the despaired mare. She wanted Sun to break out of the illusion of escapism she had created for herself, and get up to face her problems head on. It was an act not just out of kindness from Death Drive, but one with the hope that she might do the right thing, and help Sun when no one else could.

"Wh-Whitney, p-please...! I know what I-I did, I don't expect to ever be f-forgiven! B-but please, d-don't just sh-shut me out! I'll have nowhere to live...! Please, just... Please...!" Death Drive sobbed, trying to convince her sister to show an ounce of pity towards her, although both felt like the pale unicorn didn't deserve it. She didn't have any bits, how was she supposed to live on her own, let alone buy a whole house to live in...! No one would trust her, no one would hire her! It all felt like a cruel nightmare she couldn't wake up from, and she kept feeling like she was going to hit rock bottom, but she just kept falling down.

"You're... You're really giving me another chance, even after what I did?" Death Drive gawked. There she stood, bloodied, beaten, and having lost her entire sense of self, beside the mare she hated most, and in front of the mare she admired most. The truth was revealed to her by Twilight, that all along, she actually was supposed to be the alicorn's personal student thanks to her extremely exceptional grades during her homeschooling. It was just that Sun got in the way of her. And yet... that didn't make her feel angrier. All her ardor had disappeared, and all she felt was... tired. She couldn't believe that she was going to be let free without so much as a slap on the wrist, and where would she go from here? Well, at least she'd always have White Night...

"There's no turning back after this, but I'm ready. Innocent Sun's going to be sorry she ever stepped hoof into Ponyville." she thought to herself with a smirk. She stood in Canterlot's royal garden, staring down the petrified forms of a magic-devouring brute, a shapeshifting mad tyrant, and a certain pitiless manipulating foal who was just who Death Drive needed. She didn't care that Obassi and Dragon Rose were suddenly too good for her, because when she revives this little foal... Well, it might cause a bit of unrest among the Princess of Friendship's ranks, but that just makes it all the more important that this foal would be found. And soon enough, Sun will be out of the way, thrown into the dungeon - or even better, Tartarus! - and Death Drive will move back to Canterlot, become Pale Moon again, and become Twilight's personal student... Sure, this was a bit extreme, but hey, Sun deserved it, right? She doesn't even know how much she's hurt the pale unicorn! And this foal will make it aaaaaaall better...
