Part One: We Are As One

Creature clashed against thing. Friend clashed against monster. Unwavering light clashed against darkness that tried its hardest to consume the hopeful light. It was glorious.

["Singularity - Definition" from Bayonetta 3]

The level of sheer destruction that the forces of Azoth presented were enough to crush a country, but when everyone fought together against them, that didn't matter. Canterlot had become a complete warzone, yet there was no one fighting who didn't want to fight. Regardless of who the soldiers were, where they came from, or what exactly they fought for, they all forgot about the specifics, and adopted a fearless persona. Faces from all over Equestria, even those who came to Canterlot to find help, teamed up with each other to use their unique traits to overpower the towering horrors, and it was working!

A group of unicorns used their magic to hold down a gigantic lizard-thing, allowing dragons to set its body alight. Dragon Rose and Aello ran through the streets, slashing in half any lower things they came across. Vulcanus, finally freed from his chains (but unfortunately not his restrictive armor), was ridden by Applejack as he gladly rampaged through town, crushing anything smaller than him with his immense strength, and helping with the winged things by breathing fire directly onto them, instantly charring them all to a crisp. Yaks and earth ponies chose to rush the lesser monsters, and some nirik-turned kirin chose to pin down the bigger ones so that they could be finished off. Even Obassi and Ms. Harshwhinny didn't mind getting their hooves dirty in order to beat these things. To say that the fear of the unknown had been lessened to the point of being nonexistent wouldn't be enough to describe the confidence that everycreature felt now.

Over by the castle, where Azoth had been driven into a corner, It was being harassed by the Dazzlings, forcibly being pushed back against a castle wall by their combined sonic screeches. They were quickly aided by Fantaga, who unleashed her own scream behind them, but it was in order to send Sun and Death Drive flying towards It for an attack. The idea worked, and once the duo were sent towards It, and they showed no mercy. Death Drive slashed It over and over by spinning her scythe around, and Sun did what else but pummel It with Marchosias. Sun gave Death Drive the honor of finishing off their brief assault, and she summoned Morrigan, sister to Sun's demon Aradia and Cozy's demon Hecate. Like her sisters, Morrigan was a gigantic, bewitching woman, and she was certainly no less eager for violence than her sisters. Through Death Drive's summoning portal, Morrigan manifested as a jeweled, glove-clad hand that sent Azoth flying upwards miles high into the starless sky.

With the use of another one of Fantaga's sonic screams to send Sun flying up to where Azoth was... well, she did just that. When Azoth noticed she was even there, It couldn't even react before Sun winked and delivered one single, albeit incredibly powerful punch, which launched Azoth directly into the constantly-rotating iron blades of a particularly odd, metallic, spherical one of Its minions. It was right by that weird boar-like Changeling from when Nympha attacked Ponyville way back when... That was to say, a few months ago.

Then, she decided to pause all of a sudden, and she took a second to look at her surroundings. She had never seen war, but she was glad to know that this wasn't it. There was no fear, nor horror, or clashing ideologies at play. All there was was a battle of good versus evil, and that everyone had come together on the side of good to show the side of evil that it wasn't welcome. It was like a festival, with constant fireworks going off and people dancing in the brightly-lit streets in celebration. Only, the fireworks were explosions, and the dancing was fighting. She kind of liked this better, when she thought about it!
