jordan places her phone on the dresser. michael is always dying his hair. and every time she questions him, it's the same response. 'why not?' don't get jordan wrong, michael looks great with different hair colors, but eventually it's gonna fall out because of chemicals.jordan does not want to witness that happen, thank you very much.
she walks to the bathroom, pulling out her toothbrush and toothpaste.
"jordan! we need to go to the clinic!"
jordan frowns at her mother's sudden request, ignoring it completely, proceeding to brush her teeth.
"did you hear me?!"
jordan rolls her eyes, spitting out the toothpaste that was in her mouth, "yes mom! why do we need to go to the clinic! i have to go to school!!" must she remind her mother that education is more important than whatever is at the clinic. no response from her mother as she finished brushing her teeth.
"oh stop complaining, you won't be late, i'm only taking you to pick up your meds then i'll drive you to school." she came into the bathroom and looked at jordan from the mirror.
she huffs, "add in breakfast and i might just go with you." she laughs and nods.jordan walks back into her room, "can it be mcdicks?!"
"what i tell you about saying that?!"
"mcdonald's sorry."
-
her mother lazily stood in the white room. jordan paced impatiently, she actually wanted to go to school and learn today...

the pair reached mcdicks and jordan had already spotted michael, with his newly dyed blue hair. she wanted to race to michael and feel his hair, but she was with her mother, and her mother enjoys moving slowly. "mom, michael's right there, i want a mcgriddle and a caramel frappe, thanks i love you." jordan politely steps off the line and sits next to michael.
"hi."
"hey."
jordan can't help but grin. then something happens. michael starts cursing out this girl next to him, which is odd, michael usually stays to himself. "michael stop yelling at her this isn't like you." jordan whispers, rubbing her eyes. "oh, right jordan. i'm sorry ma'am." michael speaks in a confused voice. she takes a deep breath in and one out.jordan's mother approaches the table with her food. she opens jordan's mcgriddle and starts eating it, and sipping on her caramel frappe. "what are you doing?! that's my food!" jordan's mother face turns to hers. her eyes are a piercing red, with a slit as the iris. she rubs her eyes again.
"jordan? you alright sweetheart?"
her mother takes her out of her daze. jordan just hallucinated. michael was replaced by a mean imposter who yelled a lot and my mother was replaced by an imposter who was a she-devil who liked food. jordan nods.
"just seeing things."
michael looks at jordan. jordan looks at michael. both teens stare at mrs.bay. jordan's mom, places jordan's breakfast sandwich on the table and slides her caramel frappe to her. michael takes the caramel frappe, taking a straw as well and starts sipping from the cup. jordan simply opens her mcgriddle and starts eating it.
"when jordan's done, you two get in the car, i'll drive you to school."
"oh no, mrs.bay thanks, but no thanks." michael says.
jordan looks at michael, 'my mother's not taking no for an answer.' she laughs and shakes her head at michael's obvious decline.
mrs.bay or jess, shook her head.
"lemme restate what i said. jordan since you're finished with your mcgriddle, take yourself, your frappe and your friend to the car so i can drive you guys to school." michael sighs at his failed attempt at trying to decline a school ride offer.
jordan grabbed her caramel frappe and her garbage and deposited the garbage into the trash can. she motioned for michael to follow her to the car.
they walked out of mcdicks and into jess' black bmw.
"you're okay right?" michael checked up on jordan.
she stared at her blue haired friend.
"yeah, i kinda hallucinated back in mcdicks though."
"oh..."
