In which sans babysits two feral toddlers at the store, and Alphys arrives home to a burnt home. Lots of chaos.
----
Here they were, him, papyrus, and Undyne at one of the most popular chain stores on the surface...Walk-Mart.
now normally a quick to this commercial establishment wouldn't be a problem, but this was papyrus and Undyne he was talking about. what would have normally been a breeze in the park for him and papyrus was now a ten mile run with the addition of Undyne. See the thing sans has learned about papyrus and Undyne being around eachother ( this was from experience while bring underground and recently the surface) was that they seemed to hype each other up, one would say a little bit too much. No- like s lot. To the point they just ignored all reason.
Papyrus, the dude, he was usually a pretty reasonable guy, yaknow, but as soon as you put Undyne in the same room with him. there is only so long before all your furniture is still intact. Their energies just seem to power up each other and sans is left to clean up the aftermath of whatever shenanigans they get into, whether it be seeing who can throw an magical attack the highest or exploding random items in the driveway. it was like looking after two sugar high kids who could cause immense property damage if left to their own devices for too long.
soo one could imagine the problems that might come from combining these two individuals in an establishment were they could easily do thousands of dollars in damages. There was a reason they sticked to the house or park when they hung out, but who could blame him, he was just having fun with his friend, and sans would be damned if he didn't let Papyrus enjoy his time with his only friend that seemed to match his energy. so sans was stuck trailing behind them as Papyrus and undyne raced eachother to the store's entrance. babysiting duty it was then. he walked just a little faster to catch up to them, didnt want to keep his eyes off them for too long.
"HAh! I win punk! yah snooze you lose"
"THAT WASNT EVEN FAIR YOU RAN AT THE COUNT OF TWO, I DEMAND A REMATCH"
Sans walked up to them.
"hey...hey guys what's the commotion, we're already here, I'd think it'd be a bit silly to run back to the car just to run here again? common you guys can have a rematch again after later, but after we get all the stuff we need on the way back, how does that sound?"
while he'd normally let them do their thing, they were kinda on a time crunch. it was a week day and they still had work, luckily undyne was able to go to work a bit later then ussual due to the whole house burning down drama, but papyrus still needed to go to clock in his shift later in the day. Sans was the same.
Papyrus huffed "I GUESS YOU ARE RIGHT, BUT! WE ARE DOING THAT REMATCH ON THE WAY BACK" he stomped his foot and pointed to the car.
Undyne grinned "alright if you say so! i wont stop you if you want to lose again!" papyrus was left sputtering as if trying to come up with a comeback, but before he could undyne already left cackling as she walked into the store heading straight for the shopping carts.
yup this was fine Sans thought.
The Walk-Mart they came to wasn't that big but big enough to not be considered small, medium? if you can call a walk-Mart that.
The layout of the store was the same as most Walk-Mart's. Right as you enter the produce section was to your left along with the baked goods such as cakes and sweet breads. straight foward was the shelfs containing all things from frozen food, cereals, cans, and foreign spices. the right of the entrence was the checkout stations and past that that was the clothes and toys along with all the outside things section, anything that wasn't edible basiclly. they've been to this store multiple times already to know the layout, but it was still easy to get lost in this maze of a store.
