We quickly got on the highway, feeling re-assured that we were safe from the police, until we saw him behind us
"Shit." We both thought and glanced at each other. "What now?" Shelby asked. "I don't know. just go with the flow, He should pass." But he didn't. He didn't pass. Shelby nervously said "Chase...he's not passing.." "let's just wait him out, he wants to play this way, well let's play motherfucker."
Finally, after about 5 more minutes he passed. "Phew." We both sighed in relief.
2 hours passed before we stopped again, but this time it was for the both of us ha ha. "Wait." I said. "Let's stop and look at the road maps on the wall." Why?" She asked. "Why not?" I asked back. "Hah, okay dork, we'll look around for a few." "Yay! Love you Shelby!" She giggled and said "Love you too, Chase."
After about 6 or 7 minutes we heard a guard walk in. "We better go." Shelby said. "Yeah, don't gotta tell me twice!" We quickly got out of there and back into my car, headed back on the road. "To Denver?" Shelby asked. "To Denver." I confirmed, tightly gripping the steering wheel.
In a hurry, we were back on the highway, on our way to Colorado. 5 and a half hours later we saw a sign on the side of the street that read "Welcome to Colorad." We cheered and tightly hugged, she kissed me on the cheek and I blushed.
"Bathroom break?" "Yeah, bad, you?" "Yeah." I said. We both got out in a matter of about 2 minutes. "Wow, that was fast Chase." "Ye-" I puked. "Eww! Chase! Are you okay?!" Shelby came rushing over. "I- I think so, but can you take the wheel for a few hours?" I asked. "Of course, anything for you." "Thanks."
2 hours later we were..well, where were we? "I'll check the map" I said. "Okay, here." Shelby got the map out of the back. "Hmm." I said. "we're in the middle of Denver." Shelby and I bursted out into happiness. "Look!" she said. "What?" I asked. "A hotel." "Oh, perfect, we have enough for a night, and some food. I'm starving." "I think we both are." She implied.
