We traveled for about three hours and finally were in the middle of Missouri, Kansas City. "Want to rest at another hotel?" Shelby asked. "No no no. I'm still scared from what happened last time." "It's okay Chase, I'll hold you real tight, and close." "Well, in that case.." I said. We both giggled and I said "Let's do it!"
So there we were, in the hotel, getting ready to go to bed. "You promise we'll be okay?" I asked. "Can't make a promise I can't keep." "But those are the best kind." I whispered.
We both smiled, "Okay, well we better get to sleep." I suggested. "Wait, Chase?" "Yeah?" "There's something I need to do first." "And that is?" I asked. "She grabbed both of my hands, we locked fingers and she softly kissed my cheek. "Oh," I said and blushed. "Well worth it." "Yeah." She responded.
After that we got situated in the bed, arms wrapped around each other, and quickly fell asleep with no problem.
This time, we woke up a lot more peaceful, with the sun lightly shining through the window, the birds chirping softly, and best of all just waking up with Shelby in my arms and me in hers. It's just the best feeling ever waking up to the one person you love.
Shelby and I woke up at the same time and when she opened her eyes I said "Hey beautiful" and lightly kissed her. She blushed badly and said "Hey sexy, what time is it?" She tiredly asked. I didn't even know myself so I checked. "9:15a.m.," I finally replied. "Holy shit it's early." "Yeah, we should sleep some more, I'll set the alarm for 11:00a.m."
2 hours and 45 minutes later, we woke up as relaxed as ever.
