Pov: Jotaro

We found a small hotel near the previous one, and decided to stop here for the night. Y/N is still sleeping, and I don't really want to wake her up, so I just picked her up into my arms, cradling her gently against my chest.

We decided that we don't need our luggage for one night in the hotel, so we just got a few clothes for tomorrow and that's all.

There are only rooms for three, so me and Y/N will share the room with Polnareff, but also Iggy, who surprisingly was with us when we had to change our hotel.

When we finally got into the room, I put Y/N down onto the bed, gently kissing her forehead. There isn't any double bed, so I left her alone in the single one. Oh well, not so alone, because Iggy jumped onto it and snuggled against her.

- At least this mutt likes one person.- Polnareff scoffed, rolling his eyes and sitting down on his own bed.

- Hmph...- I just grunted in response, looking over at my precious girl.

- You'll watch over her the whole night?

- I have to make sure that nothing bad will happen to her.- I looked over at him, my eyes narrowed and cold as ice. It's obvious that I'll be even more protective over her now, after how she was attacked by those zombies.

- She's safe here with us. She's on the middle bed, so we both are first to be attacked if anything was about to happen. Also Iggy seems to want to protect her as well.- Polnareff pointed, and I saw that Iggy is under Y/N's arm and she's hugging him like a plushie.- It's weird that he is letting her hold him like that and he won't even budge.

- Well, she just has a calming nature, and it seems it is having effect on Iggy as well.

- Jotaro, I have to admit that I get it why you are caring for her so much. She's a really precious girl, maybe looking vulnerable and fragile, but we all know that she's really strong. And I understand you, I really do. But you just have to believe more that she can defend herself.

- You don't know something about her that makes me so worried for her safety and wellbeing.- I grunted in response, clearly a little annoyed by Polnareff's shit talk, by which he's trying to calm me down.

- Then what is it? You can tell me. She's like a younger sister for me after all.- He got up from his bed and quietly moved towards mine, sitting down beside me.

- She was harming herself. Even during that trip. You remember when she got attacked by that Becky? She told me that after everything she saw her dead mother. She broke down completely and when we all were sitting by the river, and she went to sleep in the car, there she cut her wrists.- I told him after a moment of silence, my voice firm and serious.

- Jesus... Y/N...? She would...?

- Yes... And that's why I'm so worried. Because even though she's strong, sometimes it's still not enough.

And for a moment there's silence between us as we're just watching her sleeping. Polnareff put a comforting hand on my shoulder. I nod in appreciation, before reaching out and gently tucking her more in her blanket.

- Go to sleep as well, Jojo. You must be exhausted.- Polnareff said quietly, making sure not to wake her up. He then got up and went back into his own bed, laying down on it.

- Yeah... Goodnight...

Pov: Y/N

I woke up in the morning, feeling something soft and wet touching my face. I looked down to find Iggy in my arms. I chuckled at the dog's kisses, before gently stroking his head.
