- I stopped time.

- You did what?- I asked in disbelief, looking up at him with wide eyes.

- We'll talk about it back in the hotel, alright?

- But...

- There's no buts. Come on now.- He grabbed my hand and pulled me into the step behind the others.

While we all made our way back to the holiday House, which we booked till the end of our journey, I can't stop thinking about what Jotaro just told me. Also the fact that he didn't want to talk about it while others were around is a bit weird. After all we should trust each other, right?

Anyway I decided not to press the matter, patiently waiting till he'll decide that it's the right time to tell me more about his new discovered ability.

- Hey, Y/N, why are you so lost in thought? Is there something bothering you?- Avdol asked, noticing that I'm clearly somewhere else with my thoughts.

- I just... I can't believe we're already this far. Like, when this whole journey started, I honestly wasn't expecting that it'll be this dangerous. Now all those enemies are getting worse and... The fight with Dio that waits ahead... It's terrifying when you'll just think about it.

- That's why I'm not overthinking it all. You really should chill out a bit, Y/N.- Polnareff said, as carefree as always.

- You're really something else. How can I don't think about something like that? We'll be fighting till death, probably. This will no longer be a fight we can ignore because our opponent will have no chance against us.

- Woa, you've changed a lot during that trip, I must say.- Mr. Joestar suddenly interjected.- I remember how you were all shy and polite at the very beginning of the journey. You're really growing up in our eyes!

- Well, maybe I am getting a bit more mature.- I said with a small chuckle, before looking over at Jotaro.

Maybe it's not only the seriousness of this whole trip, but also his company that makes me more mature and confident? I don't really know, but I have a feeling that's also partially because of him.

I've never been in a relationship like this before. Even though I don't know him too long, I'm already very attached to him and I deeply care for him. The thought of anything bad happening to him is really making me feel uneasy. But I know he's strong and clever enough to defend himself from Dio, if he'll have to.

When we finally arrived, I went straight to mine and Jotaro's bedroom, grabbing some cold drink on the way. I made an excuse that I'm exhausted after the whole day of searching for anyone who would know where the mansion from the photos is located.

I sat down on the bed, opening my drink and taking a sip, while I wait for Jotaro to get there as well. I even managed to brush my teeth, wash my face and change into pajamas, while he was spending time with others downstairs.

Yet, after less than an hour, he came to the room, closing and locking the door behind himself. He took off his hat and placed it on the drawer, before also getting rid of his jacket, hanging it on a nearby chair.

- So... Will you tell me about that time stopping ability?- I asked, looking up at him expectantly.

But then he suddenly disappeared from before me. I looked around quickly, almost jumping off the bed. Although, when I heard him clearing his throat behind me, also on the bed, I immediately turned around and looked at him.

- Don't scare me like that.- I said, hitting his shoulder playfully.

- That is my new ability.- He said in his usual deep voice, leaning in closer.
