Chapter 2 - Familiar Faces

You looked in the mirror, twisting your body to see if the uniform looked good on you. When you confirmed it did you grabbed the school bag that you found downstairs and headed out.

As you walked outside you saw many students wearing the same uniforms and walking to what you assumed to be school. You decided to follow the crowd so that you knew where you were going.

You rushed over to keep up with the students, turning the corner you bumped into someone, falling to the ground. You hissed and grabbed your head in pain.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry are you okay?" A female voice chirped, her tone full of concern.

"Y-yeah I'm fine are you okay?" You asked opening your eyes to an extended hand.

You took the hand, your eyes wandering to the person you bumped into. The girl was beautiful, and you recognized her pink hair instantly.

"Yes thanks! I'm Mitsuri Kanroji, and you are?"

Your eyes widened as you saw the girl, trying not to scream and fangirl over her.

OH MY GOD NO WAY I'M TALKING TO THE MITSURI!!

"I'm Y/n L/n, it's nice to meet you," You answered, standing up.

You both began to walk down the street towards the school together, talking as you went

"So you're a first year?" The energetic Hashira asked you.

"Yes, and you're a second year?" You reply, earning a nod from the pinkette.

You could NOT believe that MITSURI FREAKING KANROJI was standing right NEXT TO YOU! And not only that but you guys were TALKING. You felt like you were going to explode, however you kept your cool, not wanting to embarrass yourself.

You guys soon arrived at the school. A quick wave was exchanged between the two of you before you each went your separate ways. After asking a couple students for directions you eventually made your way to the office

You knocked softly on the door, before a gentle "come in" was heard from the other side. You twisted the doorknob and walked inside the office. Coming face to face with the principal.

"Hello Mr. Ubuyashiki, I'm the new student, and I was wondering if I could have a copy of my schedule?" You asked the man politely. To which he responded, "of course, here you are, if you need any help throughout the day please don't hesitate to ask."

You nodded and thanked him, grabbing your schedule and heading out the door. Your first class was art, and luckily you had seen the classroom on your way to the office. So after retracing your steps you successfully found and entered the art room.

A couple of students had already gathered in the classroom, so you made your way to an empty seat around the left side of the room, not wanting to look out of place. Glancing around the room you saw an oh so familiar face.

Burgundy locks of hair, a noticeable scar adorning the man's forehead.

Oh.

My.

Fucking.

GOD!

THAT WAS TANJIRO!! You struggled to keep your composure as he walked in and sat down directly NEXT TO YOU.

You turned your head to look at him and he politely waved at you with a smile.

"Hello, I don't believe I've seen you before, my names Tanjiro Kamado, what's yours?" He asked politely, his voice friendly.

"M-My names Y/n L/n, it's very nice to meet you," you responded, mentally scolding yourself for stuttering.

Tanjiro opened his mouth to say something again but was interrupted by a hand roughly colliding with his desk. You jumped at the sound, following the hand to find it belonged to none other than INOSUKE HASHIBIRA!
