Chapter 11

Three cities into the tour now in Florida!!! The heat down here was so intense. We were doing 3 nights here, and it meant that we were in a hotel. It was nice to sleep in an actual bed. We were all going out for dinner tonight, to a really fancy restaurant, so it meant I could get all dressed up. Nicole was sharing this suite with me, then it was Mike and Dan followed by Brendon. Being on tour was a double edged sword. I got to watch Panic perform live and get paid for it. On the other side if something fucked up it was my job to sort it along with everything else.
I had a bath and shaved my legs. The door to the suite opened and closed, so I just assumed that it was Nicole back. I was relaxing at the moment, listening to some music.
"In the tub Nic!" I called out, eyes still closed. I heard Nicole come towards the bathroom. As I was about to get out the bath the door opened, and it wasn't Nicole stood there. It was one of the roadies. I wasn't sure why he was in here. The crew were on a different floor to us.
"Hey um, I think you have the wrong room." I said. I felt very scared right now.
"No I didn't. Now this will be easier as long as you don't scream and enjoy what's coming."
I screamed as loud as I could, hoping that the boys next door would hear it.
"Madison, that's not playing fair is it?" I didn't care at this point. I screamed again. I screamed like my life most probably depended on it. I screamed for help. What I didn't know was that Nicole had returned and saw what was happening. She ran to get the boys and called the cops. She came back into the suite. This time I saw her, because she was in my eye line. I reached for my towel, I was getting cold. The guy was walking towards me. Mike and Dan and Brendon all came in. I managed to wrap the towel around myself. I was shivering, with fear, most likely. The guy, who I found out was named Gus, was distracted by more people coming into the room. Mike and Dan were ready to take him down. He wasn't looking in my direction so Brendon and Nicole helped me out the bath and took me down to Brendons suite. I sat on Brendons bed. I was shaking with shock. I didn't know what to do. Nicole put the hotel robe around me. Brendon sat next to me, arm around my shoulder, trying to warm me up. Nicole peeked outside the room and saw that Gus was trying to get down to Brendons suite. Dan and Mike were trying to hold him. He was a big guy.
"Oh shit!" Nicole said and left the suite.
"Brendon what the fuck?" I said.
"I know Mads." He hugged me now. That really helped to warm me through. He is like a furnace.
The police must have arrived because there was a knock at the door. It was Nicole and the guys. Brendon got up to let them in and Nicole came over to me and sat down. Mike and Dan also came over to see if I was OK. Another knock and this time it was the police. They wanted witness reports, that we all gave. They said that I had to have a rape kit done.
"Why? He didn't touch me. He scared the shit out of me, but he didn't assault me."
The police said that they would be in touch.
The guys and Nicole left and I got up to leave but my legs just gave out. I sobbed. Everything I was feeling at that moment poured out of me. Brendon held me until I stopped.
"You are safe now Mads." Brendon said and kissed the top of my head. I clung to Brendon.
"C-could I take a nap?" I sniffed.
"Of course." Brendon said. I laid down on the bed and so did Brendon. He cuddled me until I fell asleep.

The police needed to do forensics on our hotel suite, so Nicole and I needed a new room, but we had no clothes. I didn't even have underwear on. Brendon offered to let me have some of his boxers and a shirt. I gladly accepted. Nicole knocked and had managed to get our phones from the suite and my bag with all my work stuff in. Nicole had been offered another suite on this floor, but it was a single. She said I could take it and I said she could.
"Nic, you take the suite and Maddie can have my bed." Brendon said.
"Thank you B." I said putting a hand on his arm. "Does this mean that tonight's dinner is cancelled?" I asked sadly.
"Oh crap, I forgot about that." Nicole said. "We have no clothes or anything."
"Do you think we could get a few things?" I asked. Nicole shrugged.
"There's no harm in asking." So we went down to our suite. There was a police officer stood outside of it.
"Hello again Miss." He said to Nicole. "Do you need something else?" Nicole nodded and he gestured for us to go in quickly. We grabbed everything we would need for tonight. I put my stuff in Nicole's room. We started to get ready. Nicole had a shower whilst I curled my hair and did my make up. I put a yellow dress on that clung to me in all the right places. I wore wedges too. Nicole was wearing a red jumpsuit with black sandals. There was a knock on Nicole's door. It was all 3 boys.
"You girls ready?" Mike asked.
"Sure are." Nicole answered. We stepped out of the suite and we went to the elevator. I noticed that Brendon hadn't said a word yet.
Going down in the elevator I was stood next to Brendon. Our knuckles grazed together. I looked up at him and he was staring at me. He held my finger and ran his thumb back and forth over it. I smiled at him.
"You look beautiful Maddie." Brendon said in my ear and kissed my cheek. I blushed and thanked him. He lifted my chin and kissed my other cheek. Brendon was making it feel like we were the only 2 people in this elevator.
I looked away and chatted with Nicole. We walked out of the elevator, where Fall Out Boy were waiting. Yes we were going out to dinner with Fall Out Boy. They all looked very handsome too. Andy looked hot. He winked at me and I winked back and started twirling my hair. I didn't even realise I was doing it.
Brendon nudged me as we walked out of the hotel to the waiting town cars. I got in one with Nicole and Brendon. Nicole looked at me.
"Did you see Andy, Mads?" She said.
" I sure did." I laughed. "He is looking good this evening."
"You should definitely tap that."
"Nic!" I said shocked that she had spoken like that. Brendon sat quietly looking out of the window . "I think that if anything was going to happen with me and Andy, it would have happened a while ago. He was just looking for a fuck buddy."
"There you go then. You go get some!"
"Tempting, it's been a really long time. Like, omg, it's been like a year. Does that make me a virgin again?" I laughed. Nicole was grinning. "Nah, Nic. I am not into one night stands. I like sex to mean something, for both people, in a relationship."
"I respect that Mads." Nicole said. "I might go there then." And we both started laughing. Brendon maintained his silence as we arrived at the restaurant.
Brendon got out and held a hand out for me as I got out of the car.
"Thanks B." I said and he placed a hand on the small of my back.
"I need to talk to you Maddie, but not here."
"Ok." I replied. "After dinner then?" Brendon nodded. We went into the restaurant.
