Chapter 18

After Philadelphia, we went straight to New York. Again, we were in a hotel. I had spoken to Brendon and the guys about Lauren coming for a few days. She was going to have my bed in the double suite. Before we went to pick Lauren up from the airport, Brendon and I had some time alone. Lots of naked time alone. I was deeply in love with this man. I could see myself spending my life with him.
I put my arms around his neck and kissed him. As if Brendon was reading my mind, he said;
"Maddie, I have never felt this way about someone before. I am so in love with you. I want to be your husband one day, have children with you too." I gasped when he said all that.
"Brendon...." I said and kissed him again. "I feel exactly the same way." We fell onto the bed and made love before I had to get to the airport.

"MADDIE." was all that could be heard across the airport. I laughed and caught sight of my best friend. Nicole and I walked towards Lauren. We all hugged and went to baggage claim.
We ordered an Uber back to the hotel. We registered Lauren as part of our group and headed to the elevator. Brendon and Dan were there too.
"Hi guys." Lauren said.
"Hey." They both said. The elevator doors opened, and we all got in and went up to our floor. Brendon and I stood at the back of the elevator. He held me, and Lauren whizzed around.
"What's all this?" She asked, gesturing towards us.
I grinned and explained everything to her. She hugged me, then Brendon. She warned him not to break my heart.
"I won't, I promise." Brendon said. We saw Lauren into the hotel suite. Brendon went down to our suite. Us 3 had a lot of gossip to catch up on. Lauren told us what happened with Gérard.
"The relationship just came to a natural end. We aren't in love with each other anymore. We will still be friends. It was coming for a while, so it was no surprise. I was more upset at the loss of the relationship than Gérard."
"I can understand that, Lauren. He was your first everything." I said to her. She smiled.
"So you and Brendon. Last time we spoke, you were friends and nothing else."
"What can I say? There was attraction there. I am in love with him." I said to Nic and Lau.
They both awww'd.
We talked some more and then went out for some dinner before heading to the venue. Lauren was like little fan girl right now. We got in with our passes, and we walked to the dressing rooms. We said hello to a few of the tech guys and security. I could hear Brendon warming up. I knocked and opened his door. I was chatting with Lauren when I stopped in my tracks. Sarah was sat on the sofa in Brendons dressing room. Brendon was nowhere to be seen. I could hear him, though. Then I realised he was in with Mike and Dan. I left Sarah there and went to their room.
"B?" I called out.
"Yea babe?" He popped his head around the corner of the changing rooms and looked at me, grinning. He can't know about Sarah being in his dressing room.
He walked to me and kissed me. That was when Sarah came into the room. I kissed Brendon again.
"I love you, Bren." I said. Sarah approached us.
"Sarah?!" Brendon looked perplexed as to why she would be here.
"Hi, Brendon." She side eyed me like I should stop touching Brendon or something. He tightened his grip around my waist, and it didn't go unnoticed by Sarah. "Can I speak to you alone, please?"
"No. Anything you need to say you can say in front of my fiancée." Brendon said. My head whipped around to look at him. Other people in the room stopped what they were doing and looked at us.
"F-fiance?" I stuttered.
"Yea." Brendon touched my face. "My fiancée. " He said softly. "If you want to be, of course." I found myself nodding. It was like we were the only 2 people in the room at that moment. He kissed me and said that we would go ring shopping tomorrow. Sarah was visibly upset. "So what do you want, Sarah?"
"I wanted to talk about us, Brendon."
"US? There is no us. There hasn't been an us for 18 months, Sarah. What? Did the guy who you cheated on me with get sick of you?" I was shocked.
"B, I am sorry." I softly said. Sarah scoffed. Brendon looked at her. He was about to say something when I cut in.
"Sarah, I don't know you, and whatever happened between you and Brendon is in the past. It took him a long time to get over you. You broke his heart, Sarah. I helped him mend it, and he helped me mend mine. We are happy. I think that the best thing you can do is leave Brendon alone. So you know just, fuck off!"
Lauren just burst out laughing when I said that. Sarah huffed and left.
Brendon said." I want to fuck you so badly right now."
"Mmm later baby." I replied running my finger across his jawline and down his chest. I walked towards Lauren, and we went off to watch backstage.

We were watching Brendon do his death walk as he sang Death of a bachelor. I had to write notes about crowd reactions, which is exactly what I was doing. I had to go down to just in front of the pit to do this. Brendon made his way around, and as he made his way back to the stage, he spotted me. He came over to me and kissed my hand.
"I love you, baby." He said into the microphone and winked at me as he got back onto stage. Some of the girls in the pit were staring at me. I was blushing and smiling away.
I made my way backstage with my written notes and found Lauren. We watched the rest of the show, and then it was Victorious. End of the show.
