We made our way up the east coast. We hit Philadelphia and finally another hotel. Sleeping on a moving bus soon lost its charm.
I still had a double suite booked with Nicole, but I took my things to Brendons suite.
Brendon opened the door and we walked in. I was looking forward to alone time with Brendon, but to sleep in a bed with an actual proper mattress, that didn't move, whilst we slept, was more of a pull for me right now.
I dropped my bags and ran towards the bed. I belly flopped onto it and moaned out loud.
"Aaaahhhhhhhh" I rubbed the feeling of a mattress all over my front, then my back. Brendon watched me, chuckling and shaking his head. He joined me on the bed. I turned to look at him and vice versa. "A bed B, a bed!" I said.
"I know." Brendon stroked my cheek and kissed my nose. "A bed to be alone, together in." He winked at me and I kissed him. I got off the bed and unpacked the few things I had gotten from the bus into some drawers.
Brendon got up and did the same. I had a look at the ensuite. The bath was beautiful. It overlooked the street below. It looked bigger than a standard tub. I got in it and I was right. Someone else could sit in it at the other end. The taps were in the middle. I climbed back out. Brendon was on a phone call when I walked back into the suite. I got my laptop and notebook out. I had reports to write. I sat at a chair with a desk, and got on with what needed doing. I finished in record time and we all went to check out the venue and to do sound check.
"Do I look lonely....?" Was all I heard. This was fast becoming one of my favourite songs. I wrote my notes as the sound check continued.
Sound check over and we went to get some food. We found a local café and went in. We had to put tables together because there were also the tech guys. We all had a lovely lunch, which turned into afternoon tea drinking then dinner. We finally left, leaving a hefty tip. We even helped clear some dishes, even though we didn't have to.
Our group headed back to the venue. The support group was just starting their set. The crowd sounded good. Everyone got into their show attire and Brendon warmed up. I was sat chatting with Nicole. My personal cell started to ring. Lauren. I put her on speaker. She was crying.
"Lau? What's wrong." Nicole and I asked, in unison.
"Gérard and I broke up." She said. "It was mutual, but it still hurts."
"Lau." I said. "I am so sorry honey. Have you got any vacation time?"
"Yes, I have loads." Lauren replied.
"Why don't you fly out to New York and meet up with us? We will be there in 3 days. Don't worry about accommodation, just your flights." Lauren paused then agreed. We went over details and by the end of the phone call we had Lauren laughing.
"I wonder what caused them to separate?" Nicole wondered. "They were a perfect match."
"Hmm,I know. Goes to show that we never know what actually goes on in a relationship Nic."
Brendon came into Nicole's dressing room all ready for the show. I stood up. Nicole went to find Mike and Dan.
"Hey there, has anyone ever told you that you look like Brendon Urie?" I smiled and ran my fingers through his perfect hair.
"Really? I don't see it myself." He said joining in with the banter. I kissed him and then he went for pre show shots before they went on. I sat at the side of the stage as the opening bars of " Don't threaten me with a good time." started. I clapped and cheered myself. Brendon looked towards me and winked as he started to sing.Alright, alright
Alright, alright
Alright, alright, it's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling though
Alright, alright, it's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling thoughWho are these people?
I just woke up in my underwear
No liquor left on the shelf
I should probably introduce myselfYou shoulda seen what I wore
I had a cane and a party hat
I was the king of this hologram
Where there's no such thing as getting out of handMemories tend to just pop up
Drunk pre-meds and some rubber gloves
Five thousand people with designer drugs
Don't think I'll ever get enough (don't think I'll ever get enough)Champagne, cocaine, gasoline
And most things in between
I roam the city in a shopping cart
A pack of camels and a smoke alarm
This night is heating up
Raise hell and turn it up
Saying "If you go on, you might pass out in a drain pipe"
Oh, yeah, don't threaten me with a good timeIt's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling though
Alright, alright
It's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling thoughWhat are these footprints?
They don't look very human-like
Now I wish that I could find my clothes
Bedsheets and a morning roseI wanna wake up
Can't even tell if this is a dream
How did we end up in my neighbors pool
Upside-down with a perfect view?Bar to bar at the speed of sound
Fancy feet dancing through this town
Lost my mind in a wedding gown
Don't think I'll ever get it now (don't think I'll ever get it now)Champagne, cocaine, gasoline
And most things in between
I roam the city in a shopping cart
A pack of camels and a smoke alarm
This night is heating up
Raise hell and turn it up
Saying "If you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe"
Oh, yeah, don't threaten me with a good timeI'm a scholar and a gentleman
And I usually don't fall when I try to stand
I lost a bet to a guy in a Chiffon skirt
But I make these high heels work
I told you time and time again
I'm not as think as you drunk I am
And we all fell down
When the sun came up
I think we've had enoughAlright, alright, it's hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling though
Alright, alright it's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling thoughChampagne, cocaine, gasoline
And most things in between
I roam the city in a shopping cart
A pack of camels and a smoke alarm
This night is heating up
Raise hell and turn it up
Saying "If you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe"
Oh, yeah, don't threaten me with a good timeThe show was another success. We headed back stage and celebrated.
