1. First Mission

It's been a year since I became a demon slayer. I trained hard to archive the strength I have now.
I started learning the fire breathing technique after Kyōjurō Rengoku offered me to stay with him since I was splitted apart from my family when I was 13.
He found me helpless in a corner after killing the demon who sadly killed my loved ones. He has a good heart and took me with him.
After the final selection which I mastered due to Rengoku's training I didn't stop trying to become better. I mastered the first two breathing forms Unknowing Fire and Rising Scorching Sun. Even tho it was only two forms I was able to use I already was a good fighter. The thing which kept me going was the fact a demon was at fault of killing my family and I was too young, too weak and too scared to fight.
I always keep Rengoku's words in mind when feeling low. "Set your heart ablaze", he always tells me putting his hand on my shoulder and smiling with his soft features.
I have the best trainer I could've ever wished for.

For the next few weeks I started working on my speed, changing my attacks and my reaction time.
I became better after each training session and before my crow screamed at me for my first mission I was satisfied with myself.

"Crawwwww, go to north! The villagers need you! Girls are going missing.." my crow Choco screamed after I just finished fighting against a mechanic doll which automatically fought against me until I hit a certain spot on its body.
I was way to excited. I nodded and rushed to the estate of Rengoku I've been living in for the past 3 years. Ever since Rengoku adopted me when I was 13, this house was my safe spot to always go to. He made me feel at home, he was my new family and I didn't want to lose him. That's why I never want to disappoint him. I want to be a good trainee and make him happy.

I spotted Rengoku sitting on his carpet eating his lunch. In the moment he spotted me he smiled and waved me to him. I was about to tell him the news but he put a rice ball in my mouth. "You have to eat something little lady! I don't get why you train all day long and never eat anything! You're going to pass out one day due to lack of energy...", he said worried. "I know, I will eat the rice balls I promise. Good news tho... I will go on my first mission today!" I said excited.
"That's great!" he said jumping up. "Please come back well and don't die!" he added with a worried look on his face again.
I told him that nothing will happen to me and packed my stuff.
I put some rice balls in a box for me to eat on the way to the village and water. I was already wearing my uniform and was ready to go.
Rengoku waved at me for quite a while till I was complety out of sight.
I walked down a path in a forest following my crow which flew over the crowns of the trees.
A new adventure is beginning.
My first chance to finally show the demons who they created... I'm going to show them.
