Genya and I were now dating and the fact that he would sleep next to me in the following months made me extremely happy.
We were both having a great time together. Genya always tried to make time for me even though he had to go on many missions. I didn't deserve someone as lovely as him.

The years passed like a gentle breeze, and the bond between Genya and me only grew stronger. We had faced many challenges together, from the lingering shadows of our pasts to the relentless battles that shaped our future. Yet, through it all, we found solace in each other’s presence, our love a steady anchor in a world often fraught with turmoil.

We had settled into a comfortable rhythm of life. Our days were spent training, fighting, and caring for each other, and the trust we built in those early days had blossomed into a deep, unshakeable love. In the following mornings, I'd wake up next to him, my heart warming at the sight of his peaceful expression as he sleeps, his once hard edges softening over time.

One autumn afternoon, we decided to visit the hill where we had shared our first kiss. The trees, now older and taller, stood as silent witnesses to our journey. The leaves, painted in hues of red, orange, and gold, drifted down gently, carpeting the ground with the colors of the season. The hill had become a special place for us, a retreat where we could escape the world and simply be together.

As we reached the top, we sat down on the familiar patch of grass, looking out at the view that had become so dear to us. The village below was peaceful, the sound of children playing and birds singing filling the air.

“You remember the first time we came here?” I asked, leaning into him, feeling the warmth of his body against mine. "It was 4 years ago..."

Genya smiled, a nostalgic glint in his eyes. “How could I forget? It was the first time I had ever felt such peace... and such fear, too.”

“Fear?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. “You didn’t show it.”

He chuckled softly. “I was terrified. You were the first person who made me feel... safe. I didn’t want to lose that.”

“You never will,” I assured him, taking his hand in mine. After all this time I still couldn't get enough of him. Everytime I'd look at him, I would just zone out, completely forgetting about my surroundings. He looked like an angel. Genya kept me safe.

We sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching the sun dip lower in the sky, painting the horizon with soft shades of pink and orange. The years had taught us to appreciate these quiet moments, where words weren’t needed to convey the depth of our feelings.

“Y/N,” Genya began, his voice breaking the silence. There was a seriousness in his tone that made me turn to him, meeting his eyes. “There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you for a long time.”

I squeezed his hand gently. “What is it, Genya?”

He took a deep breath, and I noticed how his hand trembled slightly in mine. “We’ve been through so much together, and you’ve stood by me through everything—my insecurities, my fears, my struggles. I never thought I’d find someone who could see past all my flaws and still love me as you do.”

My heart swelled at his words, but I stayed quiet, letting him continue.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about our future,” he said, his voice steadying as he spoke. “About how far we’ve come, and how much further I want to go with you. You are my strength, my comfort, my love... and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

My breath caught as his words sank in, my pulse quickening with anticipation.

Genya turned to fully face me, his eyes shining with sincerity and love. “Y/N... will you marry me?”

Time seemed to stand still as his question hung in the air, the weight of it settling around us. Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized just how much this moment meant to him—to us.

“Yes,” I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. “Yes, Genya, I will marry you.”

A wide smile broke across his face, his eyes reflecting the joy and relief he felt.
Genya wasn't the type of guy who'd just go for it. He thought about this question for a very long time. Was he good enough for me? Would I say no?
All those worries vanished after he heard my words, a obvious yes.
He pulled me into a tight embrace, his arms wrapping around me as if he never wanted to let go. I buried my face in his chest, feeling his heart beat against mine, and I knew in that moment that we were bound together, not just by love, but by the shared experiences that had brought us to this point.

I will never forget all the moments I shared with him. The time we fought together and protected each other. All of the moments on the hill and in the forest. His shyness at the beginning... Such a cute guy. Genya is still a very shy person, however.. he's becoming more confident now! Oh how could I ever forget the times we looked at each other and it felt like I found my person. I found you Genya, and I'm glad I did.

As we held each other, the world around us seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of us, wrapped in the warmth of our love and the promise of a future together. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the hill, as if blessing the beginning of the next chapter of our lives.

From that day on, the hill became more than just a place of memories.
It became a symbol of our enduring love, a place where we would return time and time again, no longer just as lovers, but as partners, ready to face whatever the future held, side by side.

And as the stars began to twinkle in the twilight sky, we knew that our bond would only continue to grow stronger, woven together by. The threads of our shared past and the hope of a bright, love-filled future.
"So when's our wedding?" I asked Genya with a smirk.
"I already planed it. Don't worry darling," he said with a smile and kissed my forehead.
