The bright sunny rays covered the room, waking you up almost instantly. You heard birds chirping outside, it was truly a beautiful morning. You rubbed your eyes and stretched. Brushing your hair to the side, your eyes roamed around the room but finding no trace of the male you were once with.

' ' senku .. ' '

You mumbled his name softly, you sighed in disappointment since he wasn't there with you.

You wanted to get closer with him, you wanted him to at-least consider you as a friend. You wanted a bond with the male, a bond that no other person could replace or diminish.

You stood up, the bed wasn't really comfortable for your liking but it was the stone world, you had no right to complain.
Even though the bed was rough & a bit uncomfortable, you could tolerate it because of Senku.

Walking towards the door, you put on your shoes and went down the ladder. You were careful that you wouldn't fall down since the ladder was a bit uneven but, it was still somewhat stable.

You yawned. You were a bit tired from these circumstances, from you being transported from your home to a whole other world, even though you are very familiar with it .. but, it's still took time fully adjusting to it and coming to terms to reality. It was still quite nerve wracking to say the least, It kept you up for almost all night, worrying. But, gaining Senku's trust right now is a priority. It would be better if he could consider you as a friend in the near future, well .. hopefully.

Your eyes scanned around the area, you noticed that the curtain from the science lab weren't fully closed, you assumed the male was there so you walked towards the lab.

Your mind ransacked of ideas on how to approach the male, you had an anxious expression on your face. Your heart was racing with a mix of anxiety and happiness, different kinds of emotions were flowing into you, making your breath quicken. But, even the anxious feelings couldn't top the excitement you were feeling currently. The man you've long respected and looked up too, is right behind these curtains.

You peeked through the curtains, not enough for the male to notice you but just barely enough for you to stare at him & his work.

You noticed that Senku was in a middle of an experiment, you looked at him in amazement. It still baffled you, even after all this time he was alone in the stone world he always persevered.

Even though he likely thinks of you as a stranger, you'll never think of him that way. To you, he's a friend. Somebody you've known for a very long time.

You invited yourself inside, as you pulled back the curtain, the sunlight streamed in. Illuminating the dark corners that hadn't been basked in sunlight yet.

The males attention shifted towards you, he looked at you with a dis-interested look. he put the clay pots away to the side, dusting off his hands.

"what are you doing here, m/n? "

Frankly speaking, you didn't know what to tell the male. Should you just tell him the truth, tell him you wanna get to know each other more? You tilted your head and clasped your hands behind your back, gazing in the male scarlet eyes. He just hummed in response.

"I wanted to ask you what you were doing, shouldn't we get to know each other, Senku?"

This wasn't just one of your blatant lies, you wanted to get closer with the male. Despite the fact that you already know the male to a far extent, he still doesn't know you. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to try to learn more from him, would it?

The male softly sighed, he could tell you were being genuine and that you didn't have any ill intent. Perhaps, it would be more convenient if you two could become better acquainted with one another.

" currently, I'm working on the revival juice. I'm using the stone-like sparrows as test subjects. "

Despite already knowing that, you kept asking the male questions. Senku gladly responded, giving out his possible theories on how he thinks the petrification started and possible reasons.

" hey m/n, I wanted to ask you something. "

The male head shifted towards you, his gaze towards you was full of curiosity.

" yeah? what is it, Senku? "

you were a bit peculiar of what Senku's question was gonna be. You assumed it wasn't gonna be anything bad, like anything you couldn't answer. But, if it was you knew you could probably come up with a lie on the spot, well maybe.

" m/n, do you recall anything unusual before the petrification beam happened? Any clues, or ideas that could help us understand the cause?"

ah, so this is what Senku was curious about.
Well, it wasn't that shocking. The male also asked questions about your skills and abilities. You answered them truthfully, saying that you were pretty strong. Which obviously wasn't a lie in this new body of yours that you've obtained.

You saw how eager senku was to gather enough information as possible, as he was formulating a plan to rebuild civilization, using his knowledge of science.

This went on for a few days, you inviting yourself in the lab and having conversations with the scientist. Plus, chatting with Senku was very enjoyful. Bringing you progressively closer with him, perhaps your wish of having a close bond with the male might happen.

Senku didn't realize it, but he too greatly enjoyed spending time with you. Your endearing smile & presence alone  brightened his lonely days he spent all alone. Perhaps, having someone else beside him being revived was exactly what he needed, a reassurance that he wasn't alone.
