A few weeks later, Jules and Delilah had entering ignored each others existence, besides not so subtle glances as they walked past each other there had been no interactions. Jules had stayed far away from OB. It was for the better. At leats that's what they told themselves.

Delilah lays in bed staring at her ceiling unable to shut her eyes without seeing Jules. The sound of the never ending storm outside her window brining her back to reality every so often. She then hears her door creak open, she hears little voices whispering, telling each other to be quiet

"I can what you both" Delilah says sitting up in her bed and switching on the light beside her, she glances at her phone for the time "It's 2am, what are guys still doing awake?" she questions her children

"Imogen's scared of the storm" Theo informs his mom

"No i'm not" the three year old pouts

Delish grins at them both before gesturing for them to join her "Why don't we all have a sleepover tonight?" she suggests

"Yay" her children cheer as they wrap themselves in their moms embrace

Delilah smiles "It's okay to be scared" she tells them "Even i'm a little scared of the storm"

"I don't like the noises" Imogen says

"Me too" Theo agrees

"Don't worry, moms not going to let anything happen to you" Delilah whispers "Close your eyes" she says softly

"Hey, sorry I'm late. I brought sparkling cider. I figured this called for a celebration" Jo says approaching Delilah and Bailey who both wore glum expressions "Or not. Yeah, no, this is serious work. Forget the cider"

"You should've brought something stronger" Delilah tells her

"Right" Jo replies

"Wilson, we're not opening yet. Accreditation hasn't come through. Bureaucracy. This red ribbon might as well be red tape, and neither one of 'em is getting cut today" Bailey explains

"It's a national crisis. We scheduled patients" Jo replies

Delilah sighs "I can try to take them upstairs, pro-bono"

"Bless you" Bailey says thankfully

"Happy opening day, everybody! I brought some almond croissants to celebrate" Richard says approaching them happily

"Opening's postponed" Bailey says

"Uh, bureaucracy?" Richard asks

"How do you know?" Jo questions

"It always is. There may be a silver lining. Bailey, I could use your help with a sigmoid resection. And with this storm, the ER's gonna be packed" Richard says

"Oh, shut up!" Jo yells as the thunder gets louder

~~~~~
"Are you here stealing supplies?" Schmitt questions "'Cause the clinic can have them" he adds
"No..." Delilah replies as the resident hands her the supplies in his hands "I-I said that I don't need supplies"
"Well, you do if you're gonna see the head lac in bed 6 and the ankle injury in 9" Schmitt responds
"I'm an OB attending Schmitt, I have patients" Delilah calls after him but the resident had already walked away
"Idiot" Delilah mutters as she looks around to find an intern to offload her assignment to as she does she sees Jules in the corner of the ER working on patients
