As the door closed behind Mikey and draken, your boss, Mr. Tanaka, stormed out from the back of the bakery. His face was red with anger, and his eyes scanned the shop, taking in the disarray caused by the earthquake.

Mr. Tanaka: "what the hell happened here?!! Look at this mess. There is flour on the floor, shelves disorganized—this is unacceptable!"

You took a deep breath, trying to stay calm.

Lucas: "It was the earthquake, sir. I was helping some customers when it hit. We got under a table for safety."

Mr. Tanaka: "Earthquake or not, you should have kept the place in order! Do you have any idea how much this will cost to clean up?"

Lucas: "But it wasn't my fault, I did the best I could under the circumstances."

Mr. Tanaka glares at you.

Mr. Tanaka: "Excuses! Clean this up now, or you can find yourself another job!"

You clenched your fists, frustration bubbling inside you but you nod

Lucas: "Yes, sir. I'll take care of it."

As Mr. Tanaka stomped back to his office, you sigh and began cleaning up the mess. Despite the unfairness of the situation, you reminded yourself that this job was important. It was your lifeline in this new world, and you can't afford to lose it.

Mico: "Lucas, are you okay?"

Lucas: "yeah I am fine... He is a real piece of work though."

Mico: "your boss?"

Lucas: "yeah"

Mico: "but you will have to endure this for now."

Lucas: "I know"

{The next day}

Lucas: "do I have to?..."

Mico: "of course you have to. Every child must go to school."

Lucas: "I don't wanna! I am already busy with work as is."

Mico: "gee at least go to school to make friends since you have none."

You could feel an imaginary arrow pierce through your heart.

Lucas: "no need to remind me."

As you and mico keep talking you get to school.

Lucas: "so here it is... The dreaded place, the prison."

You walk into the school as you look around. You fixed your backpack and head to your first class. As you navigated the crowded hallways, you noticed a group of students gathered around a pair of twins, one with a perpetual grin on his face and the other with a serious, almost angry expression. You recognized them.

Lucas: (smiley and angry, holy shi-)

Mico: "aren't those two the side characters?"

You blush as you look at them

Lucas: "those two are one of my favorites."

Mico smiles.

Mico: "wanna talk to them?"

Lucas: "yeah I want to but how?"

Mico: "leave it to me~"

Lucas: "um... Mico what are you going to do?"

Mico winks and walks (or flies) upto smiley and angry and using his magic throws a huge amount of ink on them.

Lucas: (what the fu-)

Smiley: "ugh! What is this?!!"

Angry: "who threw that?!!"

Everyone is shocked, nobody knows who threw it.

Mico: "Lucas, this is your chance."

Lucas: "that's not how you make friends."

You gulped and walk to them.

Lucas: "uh let me help"

You use your handkerchief to wipe the ink from their faces.

Angry: "thanks."

Lucas: "your welcome, let me take you to the bathroom."

You lead them to the bathroom as they were having a hard time seeing things due to the ink. As people whispered behind you wondering who did it.

Smiley: "man, that was unexpected, thanks for helping out."

Lucas: "no problem"

Angry: "yeah thanks."

Smiley: "do you have any idea who did it?"

Lucas: "uh"

You glance at mico.

Lucas: "no sorry, I don't know."

Angry: "it's alright."

Smiley: "I have never seen you around, you are new right?"

Lucas: "yeah I am new."

Smiley: "I am nahoya kawata and this is my twin brother souya kawata."

Angry: (with an angry face) "nice to meet you!"

Lucas: "yeah likewise... I am Lucas by the way."

{The bell rings}

Smiley: "oh we will have to go to our class."

Angry: "see you around."

Lucas: "yeah bye"

As they leave you turn to mico.

Lucas: "mico, what the hell?!"

Mico: "at least you got their attention."

Lucas: "that's not how one makes friends... Try something less dramatic next time."

Mico: "alright I will be the perfect wing-creature."

Lucas: "good"

Mico: "anyways shouldn't you head to class now?"

Lucas: "huh?"

You realize you are going to be late that too on your first and start running.
