chapter 9

It was finally Wednesday, the day you promised hanma a treat. you were also very happy to be able to see kazutora again so you dressed up to look your best and make your way to the valhalla hideout.

Lucas: "mico, how do I look?"

Mico: sweatdrops "you look good in a suit"

Lucas: "Back in my old world I used to wear this type of clothes all the time since I was from a noble family~"

Mico: "yeah, it suits you."

Lucas: "thanks mico."

You both keep walking until you reach the hideout and you slowly push the door open.

Lucas: "hey guys I am here."

Hanma: "ah, Lucas you look like you are dressed to impress."

Kazutora: 0////0 "w-what are you doing here again?"

Lucas: "didn't I say I will give hamma a treat~"

Hanma: "you were serious about that? I was just joking about the treat."

Lucas: "nah uh I always keep my words. If I said I will give you a treat then I will."

Hanma laughs loudly and all the members look at him.

Hanma: "you are quite amusing, you know that."

Lucas: "I have heard that a lot."

Hanma: "alright then, I will come with you for the treat if you are so adamant."

Lucas: "good"

You then glance at kazutora.

Lucas: "banana can come too, if he wants to."

Kazutora: "h-huh? A-as if! I don't want anything to do with you."

He says while blushing.

Lucas: "ok then banana, but I have got something for you."

Kazutora: "I swear if it's another banana-"

Lucas: "it's not a banana."

You hand him a box of dorayaki.

Lucas: winks "they are sweet just like you."

Kazutora: grows even redder "ew..."

Despite his words he quietly accepts the box.

Hanma: smirking "Looks like you've got him flustered."

Lucas: "That's the plan."

Hanma: "Alright, Lucas. Where are we going for this treat?"

Lucas: "There's a nice little café nearby. They have great sweets and drinks. I think you'll like it."

Hanma: "Sounds good to me. Let's go."

You and hanma reach the cafe, and you keep the door open for him.

Lucas: "after you."

Hanma laughs at you.

Hanma: "Alright."

You find a table and sit down, and soon the waiter comes to take your order.

Lucas: "I'll have a coffee and some of your best pastries, please."

Hanma: "Same for me."

As you wait for your orders, Hanma leans back in his chair, looking relaxed and amused by the whole situation.

Lucas: "So, what do you think? Pretty nice, right?"

Hanma: "Not bad. Let's see if the treats live up to the hype."

The pastries arrive, and everyone starts digging in. Hanma takes a bite and nods appreciatively.

Hanma: "Alright, you weren't kidding. These are good."

Lucas: "told ya"

Hanma: "anyway, tell me something, why do you call kazutora banana?"

Lucas: "it's a term of endearment~"

Hanma: laughing "You're a funny guy, Lucas."

Lucas: "am I now~"

Hanma: "You're not like the others who come through here, that's for sure."

Lucas: "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

Hanma: grinning "Definitely a good thing. Keeps things interesting."

The rest of the outing continues in a similar fashion, with Hanma gradually warming up to you. By the time you part ways, Hanma claps you on the shoulder in a friendly manner.

Lucas: walking away "See you around!"

It was peaceful day in the bakery, Mr. Tanaka wasn't present and there were no customers coming so you fell asleep on the counter, with mico sleeping beside you.

Lucas: "zzzz"

Mico: "mmm... Zzzz"

A familiar bell rings.

Mikey: "Lucas I am here- huh?"

Draken: "he's asleep."

Mikey: "yeah... Should we wake him up?"

Draken: "we should."

As Mikey and draken came closer to wake you up, they look at you sleeping peacefully.     

Mikey: whispering "He looks so peaceful."

Draken: nodding "Yeah, like he doesn't have a care in the world."

Mikey leans closer, examining your features with a curious expression.

Mikey: "He's kinda cute when he's asleep."

Draken: "Yeah, I guess."

Draken hesitates for a moment before gently nudging your shoulder.

Draken: "Lucas, time to wake up."

You stir slightly, mumbling in your sleep but not fully waking up.

Mikey: "He must be tired.

Draken: "Yeah, looks like it."

They both glance at each other, then back at you, taking in your peaceful expression as you sleep. Mico, curled up beside you, occasionally twitches in his sleep.

Mikey: "He looks so... different when he's sleeping."

Draken: "Yeah, he does."

Mikey leans closer, observing you with a mix of curiosity and a faint smile.

Mikey: "He seems almost... vulnerable."

Draken: "Well, he's always so energetic when he's awake. Guess everyone needs to rest."

They both stand there for a moment, watching you quietly. The usual hustle and bustle of the bakery seems to fade into the background, leaving just the three of you in a serene moment.

Mikey: "Hey, should we let him sleep a bit more?"

Draken: "Yeah, why not? We can take care of things here."

Mikey nods in agreement, and they decide to leave you undisturbed for a while longer. They take over some of the tasks in the bakery, ensuring everything runs smoothly while you rest.

Meanwhile, you continue to sleep peacefully, unaware of their gentle watch over you. Mico snores softly beside you, adding to the quiet ambiance of the bakery.
