birthday pt. 1

Jax's pov.
October 6th 2024

I opened my eyes to the sound of my alarm, 11 am. I have so much to do today I probably should've woken up earlier. I put on sweatpants over my boxers, grabbed Kayden's gift, and went to his room.

I've learned my lesson to never walk in without knocking, because he never locks the door. I knocked and waited for a response. Nothing.

I knocked again, "Kayden get up."

The door opened to reveal a guy with black hair, piercings, and tattoos. He was a lot taller than me and way older than me.
Not Kayden's usual type but I ignored it and was about to introduce myself and apologize for waking them up. Instead he glared at me, brushed past me, and headed downstairs.

I walked in and sat next to Kayden who was still passed out. I shook his shoulder lightly, "Wake up it's your birthday."

He sat up and held his head, "What fucking time is it?"

I laughed, "11, remember ? You're the one who told me to wake you up."

"Shit I have to send out the invites." He said popping 4 advil in his mouth and taking a sip of water.

"Are you serious? The party is tonight."

"It's fine word will spread." He shrugged knowing how famous he is. God that must be nice.

I handed him the bag, "Open it!"

"You didn't have to get me a present."

"Well I expect one back in two months."

Buying things for someone who can afford anything they want is genuinely impossible, so I decided to go with something more personal. Even though he's not very sentimental.

He opened the bag to find a collage board of all his concerts, pictures and labels included. They were mostly of us backstage as I like to take a picture with him after every show. It's cheesy but i'm so proud of him.

   I also got him a dumb Jean Paul cologne he wanted, which was so overpriced by the way. It smelled like syrup and amber.

"Cool thank you." He said nonchalantly but trust me, that's a compliment from him. If he didn't like it he'd just put it down and never look at it again. But instead he immediately hung it up which I thought was so sweet.

"You're welcome! If you're wondering why some of the pictures are shitty it's because I took them." I laughed.

"Nah I like it. What's the plan for tonight?" He asked unboxing the cologne.

"It's your birthday shouldn't you know?" I said putting emphasis on 'your.'

"We can play some drinking games and shit."

"Mhm, I'll decorate and clean don't worry. Alsooo, who was that guy leaving your room?" I asked knowing Kayden hates to talk about the random strangers that stay over.

"Blake."

I smirked realizing I could get more information since he didn't immediately tell me to shut up, "So you two are just seeing each other casually or?"

"Fuck off," He laughed, "we just hooked up."

"Wow you're being very brave by sharing." I teased making fun of him.

He glared at me in response.

"So I guess the whole gay thing is absolutely confirmed now?" I asked acting clueless just to piss him off.
