i'm waken up by Riley shaking me awake she's practically jumping around on the couch.
R- Avery, we need to get to MKs house early to set up for your party. A- It's not here? R- No, our apartment is not big enough. A- how many people are going? R- A lot, Malachi will be there setting up with us. A- What about getting ready for the party? R- Well, after we set up, we'll come back here A- okay, let me go get ready real quick give me 10 minutes R- okay and obviously we're stopping at Starbucks first what do you want? I'm gonna order ahead. A- can you get me a mango dragon, fruit refresher? R- Sure, I'm getting the biggest size A- I love you R- I love you more now go get ready
I run to my room to go put on a semi nice outfit this is the first time I'm meeting Riley's friends and part of me wants to try and show off a little bit for Malachi. I don't know something about him. I have a nervous feeling about meeting him, but a good nervous. It takes me about 15 minutes to get ready I get changed, brush my teeth, do my make up and hair and I'm ready.

I get out of my room and make my way to the living room where Riley is waiting impatiently tapping her foot I grab the keys and we make our way out the door. Riley gets in the driver seat. And I'm passenger princess of course. She drives us to Starbucks to get our drinks and then to MK's house which is around five minutes away. We listen to bags by Clairo. And then we're there. I step out of the car. scared out of my mind to meet her friends luckily Malachis not there yet so right now I only need to worry about meeting one. Riley knocks on the door. Mk opens the door and I see a couch full of party stuff. All I can think about is how much time this this is gonna take. Right now it's 10:30 am let's see how long it takes us. MK is setting up a photo booth area for people to take pictures while Riley set up balloons and streamers, and I set up the cuppong table. we moved the couch to set up our room for a foldable table for cup pong. we moved the coffee table to make a dance floor. and suddenly we hear a knock at the door. I get the door as MK and Riley are busy setting up. I open the door to see Malachi, the one who I've been terrified to meet just for him to smile and be one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
A- hey M- hi! A- its nice to meet you I've heard so much about you M- Nice to meet you too where's MK and Riley? A- Setting up some stuff. I'm on food and drink duty if you wanna join me. M- Sure! I'll drive.
I quickly tell Riley where we're going and we walk out to his car he opens the door for me before getting in on his side. We drive to the closest food store and he passes me his phone to play music. I played daylight by Harry Styles.
M- Isn't this a taylor swift song too? A- It is!
We listen to the song and get to the food store i grab a cart and malachi follows me around as we get snacks, drinks, soda, chips, dip, anything you think of. We go up to the register and pay and as we get in the car I put on daylight by Taylor Swift. And we listen to it the whole ride back. As we get back. mk and riley help me and malachi bring in the insane amount of bags. Me and Malachi set up a snacks and drinks station. While we're doing that mk and riley set up cups and plates for the snacks. after finishing up, we realize we never made a playlist we spend around an hour Making up the perfect playlist for this party. As the time becomes closer, I'm becoming more excited. I really can't wait. after we finish up the playlist, it's around 4 PM. The party starts at 8. we decided it's time to head home so we have enough time to get ready. We say goodbye to the boys and make our way to the car.
R- You seem like you got along with malachi A- yeah, he's actually really nice R- Yeah, I know honestly ship you twoo A- I barely even know him R- But you've had a celebrity crush on him since you were a kid A- okay, yeah he's cute but I don't know him. R- I still ship I know it's gonna happen A- okay...
we pull into the driveway of our apartment and walk inside I walked to my room and Riley walks hers. we both start getting ready. I first get dressed, then do my hair then my make up. I put on my new white dress. I bought right before leaving New York while doing my make up in a going style. I'm not sure yet. What I wanna do with my hair I tried straight, but it keeps frizzing up. I Call Riley in and ask her to curl my hair and she happily does. In return I straighten her hair so we are even. by the time we're done getting ready. It's already eight. We quickly get in the car and make our way to my birthday party at mk's house.
