One year and four months had passed since they had left their old life behind. Niles and Juliet had settled into their new home, and they had started to build a new life together. They had bought a small house in a quiet neighborhood, and Juliet had started working as a freelance writer. Niles had continued to work as a detective, but he had also started his own private investigation agency.

As they sat on their porch, watching their toddler play in the backyard, Juliet couldn't help but feel grateful for the life they had built. They had their ups and downs, like any couple, but they were happy and content.

Their little boy, Max, was the center of their world. He was a curious and energetic toddler, always exploring and discovering new things. Niles and Juliet loved him more than anything, and they were grateful to have him in their lives.

As they sat there, watching Max play, Juliet couldn't help but think about the past. She thought about Levi and his cult, and how they had almost destroyed her life. But she pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the present moment.

Niles noticed her lost expression and reached out to take her hand. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Juliet smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. "Nothing's wrong," she said. "I was just thinking about how far we've come."

Niles nodded, his eyes shining with understanding. "We've come a long way," he said. "And we've got each other to thank for it."

As they sat there in silence, Juliet felt a sense of gratitude towards Niles. She knew that she couldn't have made it without him, and she was grateful for his love and support.

Just then, Max came running up to them, his face covered in dirt and grass stains. "Mommy! Mommy!" he exclaimed, throwing himself into Juliet's arms.

Juliet laughed, hugging him tightly. "Hey, buddy," she said. "What have you been up to?"

Max looked up at her with big brown eyes. "I found a worm!" he exclaimed. "And I wanted to show it to Daddy!"

Niles chuckled, scooping up Max in his arms. "Ah, great job finding that worm, buddy," he said.

As they watched their little boy giggle with excitement, Juliet felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that they had built a good life together, one that was filled with love and happiness.

But little did she know, their peaceful life was about to be disrupted once again...

As the days went by, Niles and Juliet settled into a comfortable routine. Max was growing up fast, and they were loving every moment of it. They would spend hours playing with him, reading books, and going on adventures.

But one day, as Juliet was working on a writing project, she received a message that made her heart skip a beat. She looked down at her phone, her eyes scanning the text message quickly.

"Niles, it's an article from the local newspaper," she said to Niles, her voice shaking slightly. "It says... it says my sister is dead."

Niles's expression turned serious. "What?" he asked, his eyes scanning the message.

Juliet felt a wave of nausea wash over her. She couldn't believe what she was reading. Her sister was dead. How could this be?

The article went on to explain that there had been a tragic accident involving a car crash, and that her sister had been one of the victims. Juliet felt like she was in a dream, like this couldn't be happening.

Niles wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "I'm so sorry, Juliet," he said. "I'm here for you."

Juliet felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. She had always been close to her sister, despite their differences. This was like a punch to the gut.

As she read through the article again, Juliet felt a sense of unease growing inside her. Something didn't feel right. This all seemed too convenient, too sudden.

She looked up at Niles, her eyes searching his face. "Do you think it's true?" she asked.

Niles shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "But we'll find out what happened to your sister."

Juliet nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She would get to the bottom of this. As they sat there in silence, Juliet couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead

She didn't know what to think, but one thing was certain - she would do whatever it took to find out the truth about her sister's death...
