chapter 5

Her brother then looks at her phone curious what caused her to act this way. Upon further inspection he sees a... photo of you?

'Is that Y/n?' He asks himself.

It was the first time he had seem a clear view of your face in well, weeks. You looked happier then you did the last time he had seen you. The smile fit you and was even a little- no! He mentally slaps himself while pushing the thought to the back of his mind.

'I can not be thinking those types of things, I have Clara.'

"Hey, you good? You're just staring at my phone like a complete weirdo." Emma asks.

"Is that Y/n?" He asks seeing the photo of you that appeared to have been sent to his sister.

"Yes it is, but why do you care?" Emma asks with a raised eyebrow, aren't you obsessed with Caitlyn or whatever her name is?" Emma asks still bitter about Clara interrupting her time with Y/n.

"Her name is Clara! Also I'm not obsessed." He defends.

"Whatever I don't care. Now leave me alone." Emma says kicking out her white-haired brother out of her room.

He just scoffs and leaves the room. Right after he leaves Emma picks up her phone to send you a response.

It was finally the day before summer break and Y/n couldn't be happier, a sentiment most of her classmates shared. But for Y/n this was her first summer break where she had more than one friend to hangout with.

Normally by summer break the only friend that would hangout with Y/n was Marcellus but that wasn't the case this summer! Y/n had two new friends who knew about Clara but didn't care about her and wanted to spend time with Y/n.

To add to that this summer was the summer things were going to change! Instead of moping around in bed all day only leaving her house on a couple occasions to hangout with Marcellus, she was going to exercise and take better care of herself.

By the end of the summer Y/n was going to be feeling better and healthier than ever! She had a whole plan, get more sleep, eat healthier meals, exercise not specifically because she felt anything was wrong with her figure she just just wanted to be healthier overall, mentally and physically.

She was also going to improve her hair styling skills, makeup skills, go shopping for new clothes and accessories with Emma and Hina, all sorts of fun productive things! In fact over the past few weeks while trying to forget about her shitty ex friends she had already started doing some of those things.

She had been practicing her makeup skills along with taking better care of her skin. She had also been taking walks, of course some days she wasn't motivated enough to take walks but she walked almost everyday.

Now back to the last day of school before summer break! No one could really focus in class including Y/n. Luckily the teachers didn't really have much planned for the day knowing no one would be focused, so most people kind of just talked with their friends.

Y/n just sat through most of her class periods bored due to the fact that in most of her classes she didn't have friends in them anymore. She only had two classes with friends in them, her fifth period was with Marcellus and her sixth period was with Emma and Hina.

The bell for lunch rang Y/n practically jumped out of her seat excited to have lunch with her friends and discuss summer plans which gained some stares from certain people.

Y/n walks out of the classroom and through the halls to the cafeteria with her classmates. Once Y/n reaches the cafeteria she heads towards the table she she usually sits at. She then sits down right next to Marcellus.

"Hey Marcy!" Y/n says with a bright smile which causes a small flush to form on Marcellus' face which he then goes to hide.

"Hi N/n." Marcellus replies trying to seem as straight faced as possible.

The two then make small talk until Emma and Hina sit across from the right after greeting them. You see recently instead of sitting with the Toman friend group the two girl have been sitting with Y/n and Marcellus who to the rest of the school kind of just looked like outcasts despite their stunning visuals.

The fact that Emma and Hina hadn't been sitting with them only made the boys vaguely question where they were after like 3 days of them not being there due to them being distracted by Clara. Hell even Hinata's own boyfriend barely noticed!

Although these turn of events weren't very surprising as Clara has the ability outshine anyone, and you may be wondering well Marcellus is her twin and they look fairly alike so why isn't everyone fawning over Marcellus?

Well it's simple although Marcellus was blessed with crazy good looks he isn't as social and he doesn't take care of his appearance much and that doesn't mean he doesn't have good hygiene he does, he hates the idea of smelling bad. He just doesn't put a lot of effort into making himself super presentable. If he did everyone would be all over him. Although there are some girls that already have little crushes on him.

But back to lunch. The four were just talking while eating their lunch, well it was more like Y/n, Hina, and Emma talking while Marcellus just listened in. Marcellus wasn't really part of the group but he kind of was since they all had something in common, none of them really wanted to be around Clara.

Well I mean Y/n didn't hate Clara as a person but a lot of hurt and bad memories surrounded Clara despite Clara always being sugary sweet to Y/n in a surprisingly genuine way. Throughout the years they have known eachother Clara never hesitated to defend Y/n, compliment her, or spend time with her whenever she could. "This weekend we should go to that new shaved ice place that just opened up!" Hina suggests excitedly.

Y/n's eyes sparkle at the suggestion. Causing all three to blush as many thoughts go through their heads as they try desperately to calm themselves down before Y/n notices their weird behavior.

"Oh yeah we should! Then after school today we should go get boba!" Emma says happily. Hina and I nod with smiles.

"Yeah definitely! It's a date." Y/n says with a smile not realizing what her words were doing to the other three.

"Oh? What about a date Y/n?"
