"Move it freak!" Some random girl yelled at me, pushing me out of her away.

"Bitch," I yelled back and continued walking to my last class.

One more hour Danny, just one more hour.

Today has been a shitty day but better than others, but some of them are just bad. On a good, shitty day, I'll get shoved and pushed around. On a bad one, I'll go home with a busted lip and a few new bruises that I didn't make. Those don't happen as often anymore since I got into a fight with a cheerleader two months ago. Lucky for me it was off campus but it still went around school since it was one of those schools where everyone knows everyone in town. But thanks to that fight, people have been backing off and have been leaving me alone, which I was happy about.

But either way, I really don't care if people bully me or not. I don't care about a lot of things in life and who can blame me. I don't care about people, I don't care about me, and I don't care about life. Yeah, it sounds sad but you get so used to it that you just stop caring.

You simply go numb.

At the end of the day, I was the first one out of the class and rushed straight to my locker to get a few books that I needed. I then quickly made my way out the schools doors. I do this because I don't feel like getting into another argument with another one of my bullies today. And just like at the end of any other shity day, I walk home no matter what the weather is like. Sarah does tell me to take the car since I have my license but I refuse to since it's not my car, and I love walking.

I like being alone, it gives me time to think.

As soon as I walked inside my so called 'house', I was greeted by the house pet, peanut. I crouched down some and gave the huge animal some love. For some reason, this dog loves me and I don't know why. He's been living with the Ortega family for a long time now but since I moved, a year and a half ago, he's always around me nonstop. Josh says it's because dogs can tell when a person has had a hard time and it will try to make them feel better. I think it's because I actually let him come into my room and lay on my bed instead of keeping him outside.

I stood up and started to make my way up the steps until a voice called out to me. My foster parent, Sarah.

"Danny, is that you?" Her annoyingly cheerful voice called out from the kitchen.

"Yeah," I dryly said, stoping half way up the steps and waited.

"Can you come here please?" She called out. I groaned, throwing my head back as I turned around and made my way towards the kitchen where she was located. "Yeah?"

"How was your day sweetheart?" I cringed at the word.

Sweetheart, his old pet name for me.

"Please don't call me that," I mumbled to her for the hundredth time since I moved here. She never listens.

"Okay... How was your day, Daniela?" She corrected as she stirred whatever it was that she was cooking.

"Fine."

"Anything specific you want to talk about? You know, get off you're chest?" She looked up at me from her task and concern crossed her face.

"No, listen I just want to get my homework done," I said, getting rather annoyed with all her questions.

"Okay, I'll call you when dinners ready."

I gave her a quick nod before running up to my room, and I do mean running, before she calls me again. As I made my way up the steps with peanut chasing after me, Caleb came out of his  bed room and crossed my path. "What now kid?"

"Can I borrow ten bucks?" He said with puppy dog eyes.

"Why?" I asked curiosity, even though I was going to say no to him.

"I need to get another game card." He looked down at he's shoes before looking back up me. God this kid goes threw those as if his life depended on it. For a 10 year old, he sure was annoying as can be. Don't get me wrong, I love kids. This one just gets on my nerves so bad that it gets to the point where I want to stuff him in the oven. "Why don't you ask your mom?"

"She said no to me already."

"You're dad?"

"Same thing," he sighed, crossing his arms. God, I'm going to regret this. I can tell already.

"Here," I groaned, taking two fives out of my front pocket that I just so happen to have, "but you next time I ask for something, you better do it."

"Deal!" He said taking it as he ran back into his room, "thanks!"

I chuckled to myself before walking into my room and closing the door after peanut walked in. Dropping my bag and locking my door, I watched as he jumped onto my bed and laid down as always. I never understood why they called him peanut when he was such a huge husky. Shaking my head at the thought, I walked over to my desk and plugged my phone into the speakers that I bought a couple weeks ago and played my music loud, but not so loud that you could hear it from down stairs.

I bobbed my head to the music as I sat down and started my homework as well as some other people's as well. I would normally get more but again, most people don't bother me anymore since that big fight. And even than, I didn't really mind doing other people's work. It gave me something to do as well as extra practice. I'll take as much as I can because I want to get into a good college and leave this hell hole as soon as I graduate. Not only that, I also like putting wrong, stupid answers to make them seem even more dumb, as if that were possible. Yeah they yell at me but I just laugh at them and walk away anyways.

Today, I had AP biology, Ap Spanish, and pre calc for my own. Yes, I do take hard classes but they look good on college applications and it kept me busy from thinking too much and doing something stupid.

I need to keep myself busy.

I was just about done with my math when I noticed peanut looking out my window a lot. Curiosity getting the best of me, I walked over to the window and sat on the couch that was right under the window with him. "What are you looking at boy?" I asked him before looking for myself.

There was a big U-Hal truck across the street street from my 'house' and a guy caring boxes out from the truck who looked around my age. I guess he noticed me because he looked up to my window before giving me a small wave. Raising my eyebrow at him, even though he can't see it from that distance, I stood up and closed my curtains and walked back to my desk.

Weird.
