It's Monday.

"It is Monday." Seungmin parroted what he had in mind as he's walking aimlessly alongside Younghyun who he met while he was getting his usual morning coffee at the usual cafe near their firm.

Younghyun who was taking a sip at his coffee, chuckled at how Seungmin is determined to constantly despising the first day of work on every week since he first met him two years ago.

It's been a while since the first time he heard Seungmin whining about how Monday is the hardest day for him to wake up in the morning. It reminded him to him when he first joined the firm five yeas ago. But no worries, Seungmin would be back to the reliable Seungmin that he knows once the younger getting the sufficient caffeine intake and reading incoming files from their clients' cases.

"Yeah, it's Monday. Buckle up buddy, you are officially in my team for Lee's Tech file. Congratulations." Younghyun stated the news he got from their higher ups this morning, expecting another whine from the younger.

Seungmin stopped from taking any more steps, making his senior to stop too as they were entering the building of their firm after hearing the news.

"What? Me?" oh, he's clearly expecting this, not a surprise. But still.

Younghyun sighed with a nod before he patted the younger's shoulder, a gesture to give both of them strength to handle a new case.

"Yeah, you and me. Both of us. Sorry for the sudden news, I just got the email this morning. Exactly at 7:23AM."

"You even remembered the timestamp."

"It's just like that." Younghyun had a pain smile on his face and Seungmin, again, sighed as he's trying to accept his new fate.

Younghyun was taking out his working ID card for him to have access to their firm. That was when he saw Seungmin was still rummaging his working bag— looking for something.

"Are you okay there?" Younghyun asked in concern.

"Uhm, I am trying to be one but guess I am not. I think I lost my ID. Oh my, what a day to start the week. I think the deity despise me for hating Monday so much. Hyung, I think—"

"You are looking for this?" a weirdly familiar scent wafting its way into Seungmin's senses, giving him a little goosebumps on a person that he's having in mind. The weirdly familiar voice made Seungmin turned his head to the source, only to see the unexpected guest.

Seungmin blinking his eyes. Once. Twice. Thrice. He is absolutely awake and this is not a figment of his imagination.

"Oh, Director Lee! It's a surprise to see you here." fortunately, Younghyun was there to handle the awkward encounter. Seungmin was positive his head went haywire for a second.

Oh, don't blame him. Remember the text he sent Minho during the weekend? He waited for the latter to reply for the whole day, which he already knew someone like Minho most probably would put his number on block on instant because why not? He's not someone important. But he still waited, nonetheless.

Long story short, Seungmin's text was ghosted by the CEO. He expected it, but that still hurt his feeling...well, a bit. Is it that hard for a CEO to reply a text? He was trying to be nice there. He wanted to apologize, nothing more or less. He quietly shrugged the feeling off his chest. It's not that serious.

But meeting the said CEO on the day that Seungmin despise the most after two days of him being anxious about that night-- Oh, the universe hated him, isn't it?

"Earth to Seungmin." Younghyun's voice managed to pull the younger back to where he is-- in front of his firm's entrance, with Director Lee who was still holding his working ID.
