"Younghyun-ssi...I think the perpetrator- the person who we are trying to track is slowly showing him or herself into the light." Minho started when they settled in Younghyun's room once they went back to the firm. Younghyun quickly locked the door and closed the blinds, just to make sure no one was peeping or recording anything since the client of his right now is someone with a high profile.
Minho's statement made Younghyun raised one of his eyebrows, a physical way of asking why.
"Why would you say that, Director Lee?"
Minho let out a sigh as he tried to relax himself by letting his back rest against the chair in Younghyun's room.
"My office, when I returned to the company earlier, the files and letters in my room were scattered on the floor. My laptop was stolen. It's a good thing that I already handed you the important ones, they just took the latest projects that has nothing to do with the financial embezzlement that I am trying to track with you."
"Have you made a police report?" Minho nodded at Younghyun's question before he continued.
"So here, I am trying to warn you and remind you to take care of yourself. The potential suspect- I can't think of anyone who could be the one behind all of these. But please, I don't want anyone to get hurt. I am sure the person behind this is someone I know. It can't be a stranger..."
Younghyun hummed as a reply. He's taking note in order to let their higher ups know about this matter and maybe they could get an extra security while handling this case.
"I will take action on your concern, sir. You don't have to worry." Minho once again nodded, but his expression is far than being calm or not worried. Younghyun came to understand what Minho had in mind.
"If I may speak, sir, if this is not crossing the line, you are seemingly worried with what just happened. If you could think of us, your lawyers' safety, regarding what had happened at your office, you might need extra protection for your family too. Your uncle's family, especially. I would suggest that you can minimize your family's and your appearance to the media. Maybe you can minimize the amount of events that you accepted to attend. At least for the time being. We need to be extra cautious since the potential suspect is getting braver to show themselves into the light."
Minho was seen to have a train of thoughts, balancing the advices that Younghyun just gave him. Younghyun let him be, before he got a call from Seungmin.
"Sunbae,"
"Oh, Seungmin-ah. Why?"
"I am at a coffee shop, do you want anything?"
Younghyun looked at Minho who was still thinking about possible decision he should do. The older decided to get him something.
"A normal iced americano. And a strawberry frappe."
"Eh, strawberry frappe? You never drink that." it's obvious the question mark symbol from the younger's voice.
"Just buy it. I am waiting for you at the firm. Oh, can you also get some pastries? Cake? Anything from the bakery at the building next to our firm? Thank you in advance."
Seungmin was mumbling about Younghyun is making him like a delivery boy but agreed with it anyway. Pretending that he's going to order the most expensive drink for himself using Younghyun's card before they ended the call.
Minho was still staring into nothingness, and Younghyun understand that. One of the things that the tabloids didn't lie about Minho's fact was how a family man he is. He cherish his uncle's family so much. As much as he cherish his own. A man who took him under his care after a major accident overtook both of his parents' live years ago. Lee Myungsoo is like an angel in human disguise for Minho.
