Ivy was getting dressed after her shower as Conrad was fixing his hair.
She looked over at him and smiled. She couldn't believe she was starting a family with the man of his dreams.
Now it was time for the hard part, telling his mother.
She walked over behind Conrad as he was messing with his hair and wrapped her arms around his waist. He immediately stopped playing with his hair and leaned his head back towards Ivy.
She inhaled his scent before letting him go and spinning him around. She looked up at him and grinned.
"You're perfect." She whispered.
"Not more than you." He leaned down and pecked her lips.
She grabbed his hands in hers.
"So, how are we going to tell your mom?"
"Huh." He huffed. "I never really thought about that."
She giggled softly into his shirt.
"I was thinking of doing something cute like a gift. We could go to the store and find a cute little onesie."
"Yeah. That sounds amazing."
She hugged him tightly.
~
"I don't know which one to get. They're all too cute." Ivy leaned sideways into Conrad's body.
"What about this one." He picked up a onesie that said 'grammies sweetheart'.
"Oh my gosh. It's so cute. I love it." She felt her eyes fill with tears.
"Hey it's okay." Conrad wrapped his arms around her.
"Gosh I'm sorry. I'm just so emotional."
"You have nothing to apologize for. I love you."
"I love you too."
They hugged for a second longer before heading towards the register.
"Oh wow! Isn't this cute!" The older lady at the register spoke.
"Yeah." Ivy laughed slightly.
"Well, congratulations." The cashier waved to them as the exited the store.
"Thanks so much." Conrad smiled at her.
They connected hands as they got outside. Ivy softly swung their hands back and forth as they walked down the street.
She was admiring the view of all the stores down the lane. Conrad was admiring her.

She was shaking with nerves as she was looking through the gift.
The bag had the positive pregnancy text on the bottom with the onesie covering it.
They were set up in the dining room as everyone else was inside.
"Are you ready?" Conrad asked sweetly.
"No." Her voice cracked. "Let's do this."
Conrad walked over to her and kissed her forehead before calling his mom inside.
"Hey Connie, what's up?" Susannah walked into the room with a smile on her face.
"We have something to tell you." He smiled.
"Okay!"
Ivy reached towards the table and grabbed the gift bag. She held it shakily towards Susannah.
"Oh honey you're shaking." Susannah sounded concerned.
"Yeah, just nervous." Ivy smiled shortly.
"About what?" Susannah questioned.
"Open the bag mom."
Susannah huffed slightly before she opened the bag. She was confused at first as she saw the onesie.
She pulled it out of the bag and held it up so she could read it.
"Grammies sweethe-" She lost her breath. "What?"
She looked up at the two teenagers with shock.
"Is- is this real?"
"Yeah." Conrad nervously said. "You're gonna be a grandmother."
"Oh." Susannah whimpered out. Her eyes were full of tears.
She dropped the bag suddenly and scooped the couple into a bear hug.
She sobbed quietly as she squeezed the two.
"I- I can't believe this." She released them from the hug.
"Are you mad?" Ivy asked timidly.
"What? Sweetie of course not!"
Ivy sighed in relief at her response.
"I'm gonna be a grandmother." Susannah whispered as she stared down at the onesie.
