The past couple of days had been rather quiet for Sophia. She had managed to stay out of Elena and her vampire boyfriends problems.

Instead she spent her weekend catching up on all the work she missed while dealing with her vampire business. It was very hard to keep both her different lives afloat she realised.

Her parents hadn't been around much lately either, they were too busy preparing for the parade that was happening in the next couple of days. Sophia was grateful for the peace and quiet.

Her wish of having peace was due to the fact that she hadn't been sleeping well. Her nights were now plagued with dreams of Kol. It was killing her that she didn't know why she was dreaming of him.

Usually she wouldn't mind the dreams of her so called "guardian angel" but the last couple of nights, the memories had been less than pleasant.

She watched in horror, unable to wake up from her slumber as Kol held the body of his dead little brother in his arms. The wails of his family surrounding him as they stared at the lifeless figure.

Sophia felt a huge amount of guilt when she woke. Henrik was killed by a werewolf and although Sophia wasn't alive back then, the fact that it was one of her kind, made her feel sick.

"Sophia. Are you paying attention?" Alaric waved his hand in front of her face, regaining her attention and pushing the thoughts of Kol to the back of her mind for the meantime.

"Yeah, sorry." I apologised, slightly embarrassed by everyone looking my way.

Alaric looked unsure, he saw the obvious look of distress on the young girls face. He knew she was involved with the vampires in this town. He tried to convince Stefan and Damon to keep her out of it but they told him there was nothing they could do now.

He made a mental note to keep an eye out for her.

"We're going to be recreating the battle of willow creek. Tyler's being nominated head of production design." He continued, handing out the criteria for the task.

Tyler's head immediately shot up in disapproval.

"By who?" He questioned.

"By me. I've seen your sketches and they're good." Alaric announced, not in the mood for one of Tyler's tantrums.

"I'm not really into the whole-" Tyler started but was quickly cut off by an impatient Mr Saltzman. "You just pick your team, be creative and...don't screw up." He stated.

"Great." Tyler muttered under her breath.

"Tyler, the artist." Sophia chuckled slightly at the thought of Tyler having to make an effort for school. "Can't wait to tell dad." She added, with an evil smirk.

"Shut up." He muttered at her, when her grin wouldn't leave her lips.

"You wanna help me out with this?" He looked up towards Matt, who was actively trying not to look at him.

"Not really, no." He remarked.

Tyler looked down in defeat and Sophia nudged him to get his attention.

"You made out with his mom. He's going to need a bit of time." She whispered and Tyler rolled his eyes.

The next day was the parade, Sophia was exhausted as she had spent all night helping Tyler with the finishing touches on his part of the project, because obviously he left it to the last minute.

To add to her foul mood, Bonnie had pulled her into a science classroom, basically deciding she was going to do a 180 and help with the vampires.

Sophia wasn't keen on the idea.
