~Gold
"FINALLY, I'M FREE OF THAT STUPID REPTILE" she yells while running down the path. It had only been three days but they were the most stressful 3 days of her life. She runs out of breath and slows down.
"Phew, oh, running is hard" she says, stoping and taking a breather, what she didn't see, however, was the stealthy outline of something large, with wings and a tail, and color changing scales blending into the background.
She keeps walking till she gets back to her village that all this started at. "I missed that medicine class, didn't I. Though I probably won't have to take any classes on dragon behavior for a while" She thinks to herself. She reaches the village and starts walking, completely oblivious to the stealthy beast following her.
She navigates to her house and knocks on the door. "Who is it" calls her mother's voice. "MOM, ITS ME" she yells, practically on the verge of tears. "Gold, GOLD" Her mother shouts as she flings open the door. "Gold, gold, you had me worried sick, I thought you got taken by dragons" she says, actually crying. "Well mom, do I have a story to tell" gold says, walking into the house, little did they know, the invisible beast was following and enters the house too.
-After the story
"And I finally ended up here" Gold says, finishing her recollection of everything that happened. "Gold, that was... A lot" her mother says. "It's night though so let's go to bed" she finishes, yawning and hugging gold one last time. "Night mom" she says. "Oh, and in the morning can we go to the healers so I can get my foot looked at?" Gold says. "Sure honey, we can get it checked out and make sure it heals up nice and neatly" Golds mom says. "Ok, goodnight mom, love you" gold says before walking to her room, not realizing the creature following her. She gets to her bed and lays down, and the thing lays down next to her bed, she falls asleep, still oblivious to it's existence.
She lays down and tosses, and turns, and tries to get comfortable, but something feels wrong she should be sleeping with her dragon her brain says. There's something off about sleeping in her bed surrounded by familiar blankets and not scales, and also just cold, she gets up and trips over something. "What was that" she says, she reaches down and it feels scaly and warm, and big. "Oh no, no, no, no, no, no" she says. "You did not follow me home" she says. She is greeted with a familiar face turning familiar colors
"Gur grorgle rorwf roar" the dragon says, getting up, it is as tall as her room, it's head reaching the ceiling, their house is big, massive in fact, they were always rich so it was big enough to fit the dragon through the double doors to EVERY ROOM. So the dragon followed her to her house, snuck inside, and laid down in her bedroom. It picks up her bed and moves it to the side.
"What are you doing, big lizard" she says with genuine curiosity. It sets the bed down in the corner of the room and lays down, all stretched out, and opens it's wings, clearly inviting her to lay down with it. "Really, you're being serious, aren't you, oh by the thrice cursed moons, fine" she says, she walks closer to it, its scales going back into camouflage mode, being completely invisible, well, not completely, if you know where it look it's a bit blurry, but unnoticeable if you don't know it's there.
"Night, big lizard" she says, as it hugs her to it's chest.
~Moss
As he walks away he, he slowly disappears, scales changing to match the surroundings, and sprints back over to her. "SAUEAK WARBLE WARBLE CHITTER" the scavenger yells. "Aww, so cute" he thinks to himself. He follows her close behind, silent. Her running pace is a brisk walk to him so he can easily keep up with the little thing.
She slows down and puts her paws on her legs, breathing heavily. He walks around her, excited to follow her and generally happy, barely keeping the pink out of his scales.
The scavenger keeps walking, and walking, and walking, and walking till she reaches a little village. She starts running, faster than he's ever seen a scavenger run in his life. She gets to a house and knocks on the door. She waits and the door opens, revealing another scavenger. The two scavengers start squeaking VERY loud, and hugging each other? They walk in and he manages to squeeze through the doors after them. They sit and talk, and the taller one seems to be horrified at the shorter scavenger. They keep talking, in their weird scavenger language, and the taller one starts crying but wipes her tears as the smaller one starts talking. The smaller one shows the taller one her foot and the bigger one sighs in relief.
They hug and chatter some more before walking into different rooms. He follows the smaller one. He manages to squeeze through the door, following her into a room, big enough for him to sit in. She lays down in a big, wooden square that has something white on it, and some thin other colorful things on it that she lays under he felt a pang in his heart, seeing her so comfortable here, a way she never looked with him.
At the same time though, she seems to have some unrest. She's constantly moving around and making distressed squeaking noises, then she makes a sigh and gets up, and promptly trips on his tail.
She reaches down and presses her hands on his tail. "Squeak, squeak, squeak" she says, in a distressed tone. He shifts back to his normal colors. "I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have followed you, I just missed you, and I wanted to know where you lived" he sits up and looks at her. He puts his talons on either side of the thing she layer on, it's heavy, and big, about the size of one of his wings. He sets the bed down and promptly flops onto the floor. He opens his wings and she walks on, his scales shift, so if anyone walks in, they will just think she's weird and not sleeping with a dragon.
"Night shiny" he says as he hugs her to his chest.
