Gold was surprised when she woke up, she was surprised she woke up at all, and what she was most surprised by, was the fact that she was sleeping with the SAME dragon that tried to eat her.

"Maybe let's not wake the dragon by jabbing it's stomach this time, I'll just slowly creep out of here and make it back to my village" she says.

She slowly pushes against his wings, sliding out till she can hop out of the hammock. "Hmm, that's a far fall" she says, she scoots to where the hammock is tied to the walls and starts climbing down, she slips and a pop can be heard from her foot.

"OOW-mph" she claps a hand over her mouth to keep from screaming. She can tell just by looking at it that her foot is not broken. She gets up and limps to the entrance. "Ooh, that's a long drop, maybe I can find a rope or a vine? Hopefully? Probably not 'sigh'" she limps back to the hammock and lays down in the corner of the room, shivering.

"I-i s-s-should h-have ne-never l-left that h-h-hammock, w-why is it so c-c-cold" she says while shivering.

"HEY, BIG DRAGON, maybe I shouldn't wake the massive dragon that just tried to eat me like some piece of fruit" she stops and makes a decision when the wind blows, making it significantly colder.

"Three moons, DRAGON, HEY, BIG DRAGON" the dragon makes some grumbles and wakes up slowly, looking down at it's wings and starting to panic. "DRAGON" the dragon looks at her and makes a questioning growl.

"It's c-c-cold" she says, the dragon offers a talon and she hesitates before climbing on, it's still the middle of the night after all.

The dragon pulls her up and sets her on its underbelly before wrapping it's wings around itself again and licking her, drenching her face in saliva. "YOU DUMB GREEN REPTILE, STOP" she yells, cleaning her face.

The dragon makes some gutteral chuckling sounds before nuzzling her head. The dragon starts looking bad, with sad colors (or colours) flowing through its scales. "Hey, what's wrong, do you feel guilty about what you did? WELL YOU SHOULD BE." She yells.

"Hmph" the dragon says and glares at her, then falls asleep. "Yeah, feel bad, though, I guess you did help me when I was cold, BUT STILL, hmph" she says, before laying down and trying to sleep, tossing and turning before finding a comfy position and falling asleep.

"Goodnight, stupid reptile"

"Hmph? What was that" he looks down at where the scavenger was sleeping. "WHERE IS SHE, SHE SHOULD BE HERE. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO" he says, starting to cry.

"It's because what I did isn't it, why, why did-" "'squeak'" "hm?" He looks down over his hammock and around his room.

"Where is she" "'SQUEAK'" "hmm? Where, THERE" He reaches down for her and she hesitates, but when the wind blows again and she starts shivering even more significantly she gingerly clambers on.

"There there, are you cold?" He says to her. "Hmm, your shivering, so probably" He gives her a lick. "SQUITTER" She yells at him

"HAHAHAHAHaHahahahaha...hm" he starts feeling bad for her. "Wait, let me reflect on what happened today, I woke up as she was jabbing me, ok, I accidentally threw her, which should have been enough revenge, even though it was a bit more than enough, then me, a dragon, pretended to eat a scavenger, an animal that often gets eaten by dragons" he says with a sad and guilty tone, greys and dark blues drifting through his scales.

"'sigh' I'm an idiot, aren't I" He lays down and pretends to fall asleep, he hears the scavenger yell something and tuck itself into his wings, before falling asleep. "Night Shiny" he says once he's sure she's asleep.

He gets up out of the hammock and over to his bookshelf. "I'm glad I hired that mastermind guy to build this thing for me" he says. He pushes the bookshelf out of the way and walks into the secret room.

He walks over to the desk and sits down. "Dear diary, today was a rough day for me and the scavenger, I know it's my fault, all that's happened to her, I feel really bad, so I might fly her back to the village she came from, she seemed happy there, but at the same time I don't want to leave her there, I want to stay with her, but how can I do that if she's in that village, but I also want her to be happy, and she doesn't seem very happy here 'sigh' I just don't know what to do, it's like a constant war between 'help her, keep her, help her, keep her' over and over and over, constantly fighting in my head, it's giving me a headache but when I try to stop thinking about it, the headache only gets worse, and now I think she's hurt because she was trying to get away from me and I feel guilty, and I feel guilty because of the prank I pulled on her, and I feel guilty about- 'sigh' no, I can't write that in here, I don't think i've come to terms with that yet, I don't think i can come to terms with that yet, and I don't know if i should"

With that he closes the diary and walks out of the room, sliding the shelf back into place and making sure that no one could tell it could move, before climbing back into the hammock and falling asleep with the scavenger.

I woke up, but the dragon was gone, it was around sunrise so I wondered where he went, I noticed a new tiny rope ladder attached to the hammock that wasn't there when I sprained my ankle yesterday, I test it before climbing down, wincing a bit every time my ankle touched the ladder.

She finally reaches the bottom and steps off gently, the dragon flies back up through the door boops her on the nose with one claw.

"YOU BIG, big, wait, why are you still that sad blueish grey color, you're not still feeling bad for yourself, are you? I didn't know this idiots memory was good enough that he could remember yesterday, hmm, maybe they aren't just mindless beasts" she muses to herself.

"Gur Rowl grorgle rorwf" it says. "'sigh' look, it's okay, I forgive you, you don't have to feel so bad" she says, she goes up and hugs his foreleg, which turns a vibrant pink everywhere she touches it, slowly the pink spreads through his entire body till he is an almost blinding shade of pink.

"See, I'm okay, you're okay" she says, she clambers up his leg, with much effort, and settles in-between two spines and his shoulders. "Now, UP, IP, AND AWAY" she yells for no particular reason, as the dragon beats it's wings and starts gliding through the forest. "Woah, this is, fast" is all she can muster through the wind and the occasional leaf smacking her forehead. They break through the dense jungle and slow down, slowly gliding towards a forest.

"Where are we goin big guy?" She asks, he keeps walking, now... Sniffing the ground? He starts off and heads in seemingly a random direction, until things start looking familiar, and even more familiar, and she sees the path that she was walking when he took her

"YOU'RE TAKING ME BACK!?? THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH" She slides off his back and hugs his leg, he nuzzles the top of her head, licks her cheek, and walks away, she doesn't yell at him for licking her cheek, she's just glad to be heading home.

~Moss

He carefully slips out of the hammock at sunrise, he flies around and to a house of a friend, Toucan. "HEY, TOUCAN" He yells. "MOSS, IS THAT YOU" Toucan yells back. Moss barrels into her. "Toucan, it's been way too long, hey, remember that one scavenger you met that one time?

"Yeah, I managed to start teaching it out language, he's pretty shy so I don't think you should try to meet him though" Toucan say sadly. "It's fine, I have a scavenger now too, but I'm taking her back to where I found her, she seems kinda sad with me, she even tried to run away, so I'm gonna take her back" he says, happily, but with a twinge of regret in his voice.

"Anyway, nice seeing ya, catch up later?" Moss says. "Yeah, sure" toucan says, and then moss jumps back into the jungle and flies back to his house. "Hey, Shiny, I'm taking you home today" he says, sadly. Suddenly he feels her hugging his leg and starts feeling really happy.

"Thanks Shiny, I needed that" he says, she climbs up his leg and he takes flight. He makes it to the forest and starts sniffing around. "This way" he says, as he starts walking where he smells the path he was on a few days ago. He gets to the same spot he found her and she slides down, she hugs his leg and he nuzzles the weird patch of fur on her head and licks her cheek.

"Bye shiny" he says, before walking away, feeling really sad but not letting it show.
