First of all, bursting your bubble. Please don't assume it is an angst story based on the title.
It is actually a light read. Love after marriage.
I wanted to write a hero who is a man of few words.
And this is a lot like a M&B story, though it has inspirations from other books I have read, a little bit of DBO, a little bit of highway. In short, a mix of everything.

Madhu sat in the mandap as she watched everyone worriedly talking amongst themselves. The voices were getting louder. She could see that people were starting to panic. Her heart beating fast in her rib cage.
All because the groom wasn't here.
His whole family was here, except for him.
Madhu dispassionately looks at the people around her.
Her father was there shouting instructions to the police. He was a high ranking police officer.
Madhu looks to her mother and sees her worrying and on the verge of tears.
The groom's father, the financial minister of the country, stood next to her father, but was giving instructions to his henchmen.
The wait was worse than anything else.
Everybody was giving her pitying looks.
She had enough. She starts to get up to walk 0ut when she feels a hand on her shoulder, stopping her.
She turns to see who it is and stops in shock, seeing her groom sit down next to her.
